The new additions also show that YouTube TV is still leaning hard into its relationship with Allen Media Group. Earlier in 2026, the company renewed its carriage deal to keep channels like The Weather Channel, Comedy.TV, Justice Central, and Recipe.TV in the lineup. That earlier agreement set the stage, and July’s update simply pushed the partnership further.
The existing Allen Media Group channels each bring their own kind of comfort viewing, and these newer ones widen that lane. YouTube TV is clearly banking on the idea that more niche channels can keep different kinds of viewers from drifting away.
There is one catch worth knowing: the new channels are only part of the YouTube TV base plan, which currently costs $82.99 a month. They are not included in the Sports, Entertainment, News, or Family genre add-ons, even though those smaller packages are often the easier entry point for people building a custom bundle. So if these new channels are the draw, the base plan is where you have to be.
That pricing detail matters because YouTube TV has been trying to balance a big channel count with a package structure that feels more flexible than old-school cable. Some subscribers may never care about a channel like Cars.TV, while others might watch it nonstop.
