England Vs France, Live Stream World Cup Third-Place Match

England and France are headed into the World Cup third-place match with pride, momentum, and one last shot at leaving the tournament on a high note. After both sides missed out on the final, Saturday’s bronze-medal showdown in Miami gives them a chance to respond fast, reset the mood, and give fans one more big-stage clash to remember.

The matchup is set for Saturday at 5 p.m. ET at Miami Stadium and will air on FOX. It also has a little extra juice because these are two of Europe’s heavy hitters, teams that expect to compete deep into tournaments and are now suddenly staring at a game nobody wants, but both still care about.

France came into the semifinals looking like a machine, but Spain shut the door on that run with a 2-0 win. A costly defensive mistake opened the door early, and once Spain grabbed control, France never really found a clean way back in.

That result snapped a dominant stretch for the French, who had cruised through much of the tournament with lopsided wins and very few goals allowed against them. In seven World Cup matches, they gave up only four goals, which shows just how sturdy they had been before the semifinal punch landed.

The turning point came in the 22nd minute when Lucas Digne misread a cross and fouled Lamine Yamal in the box. Mikel Oyarzabal converted the penalty, and Spain never gave the lead back, which forced France to spend the rest of the night chasing shadows.

Spain added another in the 58th minute when Pedro Porro slipped through the defense and finished after a sharp pass from Dani Olmo. France pushed hard after that, but Spain’s back line stayed disciplined and completed another shutout in a tournament that has been defined by its control and composure.

England’s semifinal loss was more painful because it felt so close for so long. The Three Lions went up 1-0 in the 55th minute when Anthony Gordon finished a cross from Morgan Rogers, and for a while it looked like they might squeeze through to the final.

Harry Kane helped start that move with a long pass that caught Argentina flat-footed, and England seemed to have the edge. But once Argentina steadied itself, the game flipped in a hurry and England’s grip on the match slipped away.

Argentina responded with a relentless push, and after 85 minutes they finally broke through. Lionel Messi set up Enzo Fernandez just outside the box, and Fernandez bent a shot past Jordan Pickford to make it 1-1 and blow the match wide open.

Lautaro Martinez then delivered the knockout punch in stoppage time. Messi collected a loose ball in the 92nd minute and slipped a perfect pass into the area, where Martinez was unmarked and ready to head home the winner, turning England’s near miss into a brutal exit.

Now both teams have to shift gears quickly, because this is not just a walk-through game. Bronze still matters, especially when the bracket has already taken away the bigger prize, and neither squad wants to leave the tournament with the sour taste of back-to-back losses.

The third-place match also gives managers a chance to keep standards high and keep the room focused. Even without a title on the line, a win here means something to players, supporters, and the national teams that expect to stay in the conversation every time the World Cup rolls around.

For fans who want to tune in, the details are simple: Saturday, July 18, at Miami Stadium in Miami, Florida, with TV coverage on FOX. Streaming is available through FOX One and FOX Sports, giving viewers a straightforward path to catch the action live.

What makes this one worth watching is the contrast in style and mood. France arrives trying to shake off a rare setback after looking so sharp for most of the tournament, while England comes in with the sting of a late collapse and the urge to answer it with one clean, sharp performance.
