Spencer Pratt Releases Secret LA Mayoral Audio Allegations

Spencer Pratt says he’s not conceding quietly after the Los Angeles mayoral primary shoved him out of the runoff. He claims to have secretly recorded material that could shake a leading candidate and fired off a defiant video accusing the city’s leadership of wrecking neighborhoods and chasing away businesses. This piece follows the fallout: vote counts tightening, Pratt’s accusations, and the video that’s now making rounds.

The primary initially had Pratt in second place, only to see his advantage shrink as additional ballots were counted and socialist councilwoman Nithya Raman moved ahead. Pratt insists the tally shift didn’t end his fight; instead he doubled down, claiming he’s holding proof that exposes what he calls a corrupt machine. The tone is furious and unapologetic, straight from someone convinced the city’s future is on the line.

He poured his frustration into a Friday video that he says contains audio secretly recorded by a staffer for one candidate. Pratt leveled blunt attacks at the two front-runners and accused the city government of driving out entrepreneurs and businesses. The message was unmistakable: his campaign isn’t over because the stakes are too high for Los Angeles.

“You think you could get rid of me that easily?” Pratt asks in the video. He follows with the cutting line, “I didn’t get in this for political power; I got in this to expose this corrupt machine, and nothing’s changed,” and he doesn’t flinch from naming names. That language is meant to frame his intervention as a citizen’s last stand against a political class he sees as rotten to the core.

Pratt doesn’t hold back when he describes the alternatives. He called Raman and incumbent Mayor Karen Bass “morons” and “dumb and dumber,” using blunt cultural shorthand to make his point and to underscore his disgust. He also said he’s heard from business owners who are leaving Los Angeles because of policies they view as hostile to commerce and safety.

“That means the city has to cut services. More potholes, less firefighters, less police patrols, more criminals, more drug addicts terrorizing your communities,” Pratt warned, spelling out the consequences he fears if the city keeps heading left. He framed the argument in practical terms that voters feel: fewer services, more danger. That practical angle is central to his appeal to voters worried about daily life in the city.

“You have no idea how bad things are about to get for this city. Look at this place already,” he added, painting a bleak picture and urging action before conditions get worse. He repeated the stark pull-quote that punctuates his message: ‘The city is a mess, and you’re about to reward the arsonist who torched the place with four more years of destruction.’ The line is meant to shock voters into seeing the runoff as a clear choice.

Pratt argues the runoff will be a showdown between the status quo and a more radical leftward turn, and he’s vowed to keep fighting even outside the top two. “My goal hasn’t changed. I’ve been laser-focused on stopping these commie animals, and I will stop them. If you think we uncovered a lot of fraud and evil in the campaign, just wait,” he added in the video, using charged language that makes his position crystal clear.

KTLA-TV published Pratt’s video in its entirety on its YouTube channel.

After the latest counts, the numbers left Bass leading with roughly a third of the vote, Raman close behind, and Pratt trailing by about 30,000 ballots. That margin pushed Raman into the second slot and set up a runoff with Bass, even as Pratt insists the real story is the corruption he claims to have uncovered. Voters are left sorting between accusations, policy fights, and the reality of neighborhood decline.

Pratt’s rhetoric is fierce and deliberately provocative because he sees this as more than a campaign loss; he calls it a battle for the city’s soul. He told voters directly, “So Karen, Nithya, ask yourself, is it possible that one of your employees may have a recording of you doing or saying something that would force you to resign in disgrace?” and dared the leadership to sleep easy. Whether those claims lead to proof or fizzle out will shape how this fight plays into the runoff.

The scene in Los Angeles now reads like a pressure cooker: entrenched interests, a vocal cast of outsiders, and a city worried about public safety and economic flight. Pratt says he’ll keep pushing, promising more revelations and a relentless focus on stopping what he describes as radical change. The runoff will test whether that fire translates into enough votes to alter the city’s course or simply fades into the noise of a bruising mayoral fight.
