During an interview on the “I’ve Had It” podcast, Vice President Kamala Harris, known for her tendency to provide lengthy and somewhat incoherent explanations on a range of topics, seemed to once again veer off course while discussing the nature of democracy with co-hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan.
“It’s important to see that, you know, the nature of democracy, there’s a duality to it. It has two sides to it. On the one hand, there’s incredible strength, right, that when a democracy is intact, what it does for its people, in terms of the strength it gives its people and protects, in terms of individual freedoms and rights, right, and liberties. There’s an incredible strength in that, what it does for its people, when it is intact. On the other hand, democracy — extraordinarily fragile,” Harris said.
“It’s only as strong as our willingness to fight for it. That’s by nature what a democracy is. It is about the people,” she continued.

Since taking office with President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris has seen a sharp decline in popularity, making her one of the least favored vice presidents in recent history.
Despite these challenges, Harris is actively campaigning despite her and Biden’s diminishing poll numbers.
One major factor contributing to this negative perception is Harris’ tendency to provide convoluted explanations on various issues, as highlighted by Fox News host Harris Faulkner during a July 2023 segment of “Outnumbered.”
During the segment, the program rolled a video of the VP saying, “The issue of transportation is fundamentally about just making sure that people have the ability to get where they need to go.”
That led co-host Kayleigh McEnany to say, “Hmmm. But wait, there’s more,” before pointing to Harris’ claim in a tweet that “the majority of domestic flights do not have accessible restrooms.”
“The majority of domestic flights do not have accessible restrooms. This is absolutely unacceptable. Our Administration will soon announce a solution to help end this inequity,” Harris wrote.
McEnany declared in response, “Every domestic flight I’ve been on has had accessible restrooms — trust me, I change my kids in them.”

The show proceeded to play a video of Harris as he tried to clarify the concept of artificial intelligence.
“I think the first part of this issue that should be articulated, AI is kind of a fancy thing,” Harris said. “First of all, it’s two letters. It means, Artificial Intelligence.”
“She is off track, and I think we know this even from a president who has historically low approval ratings,” Faulkner said. “So, it doesn’t really matter now what she says as much as what she does. What is she doing to change the opinion of Americans? And if she ends up running in Biden’s place and for some reason he doesn’t run — is there enough time for her to turn this ship around?”
“And, you know, she’s counting the letters of AI and telling the rest of us that there are only two letters,” she added. “I’m worried for her.”
“I am too, I am too,” McEnany agreed. “As a former colleague reminded me, VP has only two letters, as well.”
“It stands for Vice President,” joked Fox News contributor Marc Thiessen.
“Thank you for clearing that up,” Faulkner responded mockingly.”
