As I sat down to write this post, my mind was swirling with the disastrous aftermath of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. It’s not just about the devastating winds or torrential rains—it’s about a deeper crisis, a symptom of something rotten in the state of our federal government. When disasters strike, we expect action—not the bureaucratic bungling and excuses we’ve become all too familiar with.
I recall an intense conversation where JJ Carroll highlighted how the system has failed us time and again. Whether it’s border security, financial mismanagement, or failing to protect American lives, our government is clearly dropping the ball. And now, with Hurricane Helene ravaging communities, we see yet another tragic example of this failure.
In 2005, Hurricane Katrina was supposed to be a wake-up call. We were promised an infrastructure that would prevent such failures from repeating themselves. Yet here we are, in 2023, witnessing more preventable deaths and destruction. It’s hard not to feel that this is intentional negligence on the part of those who should be safeguarding our citizens.
Look at Tallahassee as an example—hit full force by the storm. But have you heard much about it in mainstream media? No. The focus always shifts away from these heartland areas—our Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida brothers and sisters—those who truly embody American spirit.
Governor DeSantis took initiative in Florida—a beacon of what strong leadership can achieve when disaster looms—but what about when the storm hits unexpectedly? When it swept into Georgia and the mountains like a thief in the night, people were unprepared. Not because they lacked warning but because they’re victims of a system that forgets them unless it’s election season.
Deb Santilli reminded me of how preparedness goes beyond just storing food. It’s about having leadership that acts swiftly and decisively. Our neighbors lost everything—homes flattened despite any preparation they might have had.
Yet among these discussions—and I’m sure my words will be taken out of context—I stress: don’t lose your composure. The federal apparatus wants chaos; they want an excuse to declare national emergencies and infringe upon our freedoms further by delaying elections or imposing martial law.
But here’s what they underestimate: true American grit won’t bow under pressure. We’re not calling for violence; we’re calling for accountability—for sheriffs to step up and protect their counties from outside interference. The idea isn’t new; it’s America at its core—a call for local governance over federal overreach.
I’ll be heading down to North Carolina myself soon—not as a gunman or provocateur but as an American who believes deeply in community action and self-governance. There are stories coming out from places like Chimney Rock that demand attention—not rumor-mongering but truth-seeking.
Friends, we know where our strength lies—in unity, resilience, and resolve against those who wish to divide us through incompetence or manipulation. Let’s stand ready—not armed with rifles but armed with facts and solidarity—to rebuild stronger than ever before.
Stay vigilant, stay prepared—and above all else—stay patriotic.
