On Tuesday, Kamala Harris revealed her selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. Shortly after the announcement, a video emerged showing Walz falsely asserting that he had served as a combat veteran in Iraq.

Walz’s stolen valor scandal continues to escalate as he dodges press inquiries. On Wednesday night, a 2007 video emerged showing Tim Walz falsely asserting that he had been deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
“I spent 24 years in the National Guard, some of that full-time. I was an artilleryman. I deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. My battalion provided base security throughout the European theater from Turkey to England in the early stages of the war in Afghanistan. And that same battalion is now in Iraq at this time,” Tim Walz said in 2007 on CSPAN.

However, Walz was actually demoted to “Master Sergeant” after leaving early to pursue a run for Congress.
Additionally, he departed from his battalion just before their deployment to Iraq.
