Kamala Harris and Tim Walz hosted a rally in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday evening following their attendance at a Bon Iver concert in Wisconsin.
According to MLive, Vice President Harris, along with her newly-announced running mate and a group of prominent Michigan political figures, gathered to address supporters at Detroit Metropolitan Airport during her visit on Wednesday, August 7. The event took place outdoors at one of the airport’s hangars, with Governor Gretchen Whitmer delivering remarks before Harris spoke.
Other speakers included various Democratic officials from the state and a prominent labor union leader. Notably, U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and U.S. House Representatives Shri Thanedar, Hillary Scholten, Haley Stevens, Dan Kildee, Elissa Slotkin, and Debbie Dingell were among those delivering remarks. Additionally, Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist, United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain, Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lavora Barnes, Wayne County Executive Warren Evans, and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan also addressed the crowd.
During the event, a group of far-left protestors disrupted Kamala Harris’s speech.
“You know what? If you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I’m speaking!” Harris shouted.

“I am here because we believe in democracy. Everyone’s voice matters. But I am speaking now. I am speaking now,” Harris said.
Every voice is important, except for the 15 million individuals who cast their votes for Joe Biden in the presidential primary.
