Woman Arrested Following a Squatter Standoff in Her Million-Dollar Family Residence in Queens, New York (VIDEO)

A troubling incident took place at a luxurious residence in Flushing, Queens, which was recorded by ABC7 NY.

Adele Andaloro, the homeowner, was seen being handcuffed and taken into custody after a confrontation with trespassers who had unlawfully taken over her family home.

The dispute arose when Andaloro inherited the property following her parents’ passing. Upon attempting to prepare the house for sale, she was surprised to find that the locks had been replaced and unknown individuals were residing there.

“It’s not fair that I, as the homeowner, have to be going through this,” Adele Andaloro said.

“I’m really fearful that these people are going to get away with stealing my home,” she added.

ABC7 NY captured the moment when Andaloro, accompanied by her daughter and armed with her property deed, tried to reclaim her home. Initially locked out, they seized an opportunity when a woman unlocked the door and left.

Inside, they encountered two men, one claiming recent occupancy.

Despite Andaloro’s claims of squatting, the men called the police. Law enforcement arrived but found no proof of residence exceeding 30 days.

They escorted the men out but warned against changing locks due to legal consequences. However, tensions rose quickly.

Shortly after police left and locks were changed, Rodriguez and another individual forcefully reentered, resulting in Andaloro’s arrest for unlawful eviction.

When questioned by Eyewitness News, Rodriguez failed to produce a lease but showed bills for claimed renovations. He asserted having moved in months ago and signed documents with an undisclosed realtor.

New York’s squatters’ rights, known as “adverse possession,” empower individuals to gain legal ownership of property under specific circumstances by occupying it without owner consent.

According to Grok:

  • Squatters can claim legal ownership of a property in New York City by meeting specific requirements, including continuous, open, notorious, and hostile possession of the property for the statutory period, along with paying property taxes and making improvements.
  • In NYC, squatters must occupy a property continuously for at least 10 years to claim adverse possession. However, there is a unique 30-day rule that allows squatters to claim legal residency in a property after living there for just 30 days.
  • After 30 days of inhabiting a property, a squatter in New York can be considered a legal tenant, making it more difficult for property owners to evict them.
  • To evict a squatter in New York, property owners must serve a formal notice, file an eviction lawsuit if the squatters don’t vacate, and seek law enforcement assistance for removal if necessary, following the specific notice period requirements based on the situation.
  • Squatters in NYC can be evicted by the property owner at any time, but the eviction process can be lengthy and expensive.

A .44 magnum is a STRONG eviction notice when properly applied. But in NewCommieYork it is considered an illegal move.
Best bet is to make friends with a Biker Gang & invest a couple of hundred bucks in cases of beer.
When the Bikers move in, the rats will scatter, and you’ve made some good friends in the process.

It’s more like people voting for a name or party they recognize rather than spending time researching the people running for office. In their case for decades they just vote for democrats and have no clue what their policies are.

Once again, still wonder why police no longer get any respect? Could it be because they deserve less than no respect in many cases?

Police are enforcing the laws passed by the politicians that were voted into office. You need to focus where the real problem is coming form and that is the voters themselves.

The Anti-American Communists that call themselves Democrats are destroying The United States with their actions and policies, shown daily. This crap where illegal actions are rewarded is beyond comprehension. The Democrats have given crime a free pass. It is past time to vote all of these Democrats out of office.
Only in a Democrat hellhole would a homeowner be arrested for getting rid of people illegally in their home. This is beyond disgusting.

How are these laws passed? What has happened to common sense? If people don’t own a property or rent a property from the legal owner, why can’t they be evicted if they unlawfully occupy the property? That’s just common sense. But given the recent debacle at the southern border and calling illegal aliens “undocumented” or “migrants” and allowing thefts and crimes to occur without criminal prosecutions in the name of “equity”, the DAs and lawmakers are fostering anarchy. We’ve seen murderers, rioters, shoplifters and car jackers released or not even pursued by the police and legal law abiding citizens arrested and prosecuted for daring to protect their property!

This is absolute insanity!!! Rewarding criminal behavior! Clearly, it’s time for squatters to go into Gracie Mansion. Let’s see what happens then?
