What we are witnessing is the global competition for mineral resources for future battery and electronics production. Africa is now ‘ground zero’ for clandestine activities in pursuit of controlling access to these resources. We should demand full investigation of ANY assault on national sovereignty – and if it turns out that elements of the US Government were involved, those individuals/agencies should be removed from office and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
