Last week, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), a far-left Democrat Congresswoman, indicated her support for an extreme form of racial discrimination by proposing that black people in America be exempt from paying taxes as a form of reparations.
This suggestion was made during an interview with host Jehan “J” Carter on ‘The Black Lawyers Podcast’, as reported by the Daily Mail.
When Carter inquired about reparations for black people, Crockett responded to the host by saying, “I’m not sure, that might not be a bad idea,” suggesting that it may be more acceptable than simply giving out money.
She further contends that some form of reparations is essential because black people are consistently left at a disadvantage.
Crockett acknowledges the potential difficulties of implementing a tax-free system, noting that poorer blacks do not contribute taxes initially.
She concurs with Carter’s observation that poorer blacks may prefer receiving government checks, similar to the assistance provided during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CROCKETT: Just this past week I saw, I don’t remember which celebrity, but it was actually a celebrity, and I was like, I don’t know that that’s not necessarily a bad idea, but I’d have to think it through a lot,” she began in a clip circulating social media. One of the things that they propose is black folk not have to pay taxes for a certain amount of time.
But at the same time, it may not be as objectionable to some people about actually giving out dollars. But obviously, then you start dealing with the different tax brackets and things like that, and that’s one of the reasons that you know, we argue that reparations make sense because so many black folks — not only do you owe for the labor that was stolen, killed and all the other things, right? — but the fact is, we end up being so far behind.
If you do the no-tax thing for people that are already, say, struggling and not paying taxes in the first place…
CARTER (laughing): They may want those checks like they got from COVID…
CROCKETT: Exactly!

How about a separate , higher, income tax rate chart , for black people, to recover the cost of the war of liberation, against the southern Democrat states ? 325,000 abolitionist Americans (of all colors) of the North died in that war to end slavery. The economic burden of that war was shouldered entirely by northerners. Those, who benefited most, shared none of the burden. Bottom line — Some Americans make use of opportunity. Some Americans make excuses.

If I were black I’d be offended by that comment. Everyone can work hard and smart and excel. It just sounds to me like they’re saying they aren’t smart enough so they need extra help. And I know that isn’t true. I think it would be even harder for Hispanics that don’t speak English, they have more of a disadvantage and I so admire those that learn and speak more than 1 language. I’m white, don’t have a lot of money, didn’t have a great job and you know who’s fault that is? Mine, all mine.
Why don’t the Blacks, just get up off their lazy asses, and work to get ahead? They are the first with their hands out, and the loudest to cry about discrimination. Well vote out the DEM’s, and elect leaders who will work for you. I’m not unreasonable and I’m willing to discuss reparations to blacks for their slave ancestors right after we complete reparations to all the whites who’s European ancestors were enslaved and taken to Africa to be slaves. There were more far more whites taken to Africa as slaves than there were Africans brought to the United States as slaves. Every culture in history has had slaves and slave owners. Quit acting like the only slave owners were white and only blacks were slaves. You are not unique but you are a bunch of cry babies looking for another government handout and its the government handouts that keep you on the government plantation. Dig down deep and find some self respect and move on.By the way, the first step to finding self respect might be to quit calling yourselves the N word.
