Jena Sims recently found herself addressing rumors about her role in Netflix’s “Happy Gilmore 2.” Many speculated that her cameo was solely because her husband, Brooks Koepka, a prominent golfer, was involved in the film. However, Sims took to TikTok to clarify that she had auditioned for the part herself, captioning her post, “When I actually auditioned for Happy Gilmore 2, but everyone thinks I’m in it because of my husband.”

The movie featured a slew of cameos, with Sims having a brief appearance among 74 notable personalities. Golf legends like Jack Nicklaus and Nick Faldo, alongside stars like Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny, made appearances. Adam Sandler, the film’s star, even praised Kelce’s performance, adding to the film’s buzz. Sims played a die-hard golf fan of a rival character to Sandler’s iconic Happy Gilmore.

Her husband, Brooks Koepka, was part of the storyline’s “Maxi Golf” league, competing against other golf stars. He was joined by fellow LIV Golf player Bryson DeChambeau and PGA Tour talents like Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. The cast also included current golf figures such as Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Will Zalatoris, Keegan Bradley, and Collin Morikawa.

In an interview with People, Sims shared her experience working alongside Koepka on the film. She mentioned how she provided him with acting guidance, saying, “He felt like he was stepping into my world.” She taught him to navigate scripts and discover key elements within them, which was a new experience for Koepka, who typically doesn’t venture outside his comfort zone.

Away from the film set, Sims is known as an actress and a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model. She tied the knot with Koepka, the five-time major champion, in 2022. The couple’s dynamic, with Sims offering acting insights to Koepka, showcased a different side to their relationship, blending sports and entertainment.

Sims’s involvement in “Happy Gilmore 2” not only highlights her acting chops but also the couple’s supportive bond. Despite public assumptions, she stands firm on earning her role through her own efforts. Her TikTok video aimed to dispel the misconceptions, emphasizing her independent journey in the film industry.

Sims’s contribution to the film, although brief, was memorable amidst a sea of famous faces.

As the film garners attention, Sims’s reputation as both an actress and model continues to grow. Her ability to balance personal and professional life with Koepka is a testament to their strong partnership. Fans of the couple and the film eagerly anticipate their future projects, both on and off the screen.
