Current and former officials have revealed that ISIS-K, the group responsible for the deadly attack on a Moscow concert hall on March 22, where over 140 people were killed, is now seeking to carry out a similar assault in the United States.
“The U.S. remains target No. 1 for ISIS-K,” retired two-star Army general who oversaw intelligence operations for U.S. Central Command Mark Quantock said. “They clearly would like to strike the homeland, but their challenge is penetrating our security, which has proven to be quite resilient in recent years.”
The Muslim group views both Russia and the U.S. as anti-Muslim due to Russia’s backing of Syrian President Bashar Assad, who has attacked Muslims in the ongoing civil conflict.
This group also carried out the deaths of 13 American military personnel during the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal in 2021.
It is said that even the Taliban does not meet the group’s level of religious commitment. Furthermore, this group is known to be more vicious than ISIS.
The ‘K’ in their name represents Khorasan, a territory in Afghanistan.
The group has successfully conducted attacks outside its home country, but has been unable to target Western Europe and other regions in recent years.
In addition to the Moscow attack, ISIS-K suicide bombers also carried out an attack in Iran, resulting in approximately 100 deaths.
The most recent attack in Western Europe occurred eight years ago and resulted in the deaths of 17 individuals.
Despite these limitations, the group has been actively trying to motivate sympathizers to carry out their own attacks in Western Europe, as well as in the United States.
Army General Erik Kurilla, who commands U.S. Central Command, stated that the Taliban’s efforts to contain ISIS-K have been insufficient to halt its resurgence.
Kurilla expressed concern that the group could potentially target U.S. and Western interests in various global regions within six months, catching authorities off guard.
The United States has repeatedly alerted Russia about the looming threat of an attack, as mandated by protocol, including through written communication on March 7th.
Mark Quantock, a former intelligence official, stated that there is unprecedented coordination among agencies such as Customs and Border Patrol, the FBI, the Pentagon, and the intelligence community.
The government cannot become complacent, however, he said. “ISIS has proven to be a pretty patient foe. And the U.S. attention span is notably short.”

As long as they limit it to Washington and Biden’s family and staff I could care less.
It’ll be the CiA and FBI that will be attacking the US just as they did in Russia….
AND they are more than likely ALREADY in Our Country!
