Ilhan Omar Hit With Bad Re-Election News

Democratic incumbent Ilhan Omar of Minnesota’s 5th congressional district faces a tough re-election battle this year, contending against three strong opponents in the primary.

One of her Democratic primary rivals, who is aligned with the progressive squad and has previously come close to defeating Omar, is now tied with her in a recent poll.

Former Minneapolis City Council member Don Samuels, who narrowly trailed Omar in the 2022 primary, is once again challenging her in what is expected to be a closely contested race.

Meanwhile, criticism has been directed at Omar and other members of the “squad” for urging voters to boycott Biden in the primary due to his support for Israel in its conflict with Hamas.

A recent poll by Victoria Research found that 41 percent of Democratic voters in Minnesota’s 5th congressional district favor Omar, while 41 percent support Samuels, leaving the remaining 18% undecided or intending to vote for another candidate.

The Samuels campaign, positioning itself as a progressive alternative capable of working effectively with President Biden, publicized these polling results on Monday after conducting the survey from February 20–27.

“This poll supports what we already know: We can beat Rep. Ilhan Omar. We talk to exhausted voters around the district every day on the campaign trail, and we hear over and over again how sick and tired they are of the division and dysfunction that define Washington today,” Samuels said in a statement on the results.

“Sadly, many feel that the congresswoman is contributing to this dysfunction and are ready for new leadership focused on building common ground to deliver results for families and working people in the Fifth Congressional District and around the country,” Samuels added.

Omar ‘encouraged an uncommitted vote in Minnesota’s presidential primary and did not even bother to vote’ on Super Tuesday last month, according to Samuels’ campaign.

Samuels narrowly lost to Omar in the 2022 Democratic House primary by just 2,466 votes, a margin of slightly over 2 percent.

Omar made history as the first woman to wear a headscarf on the House floor and the first Somali-American elected to Congress.

She is also part of a group of progressive lawmakers, including Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley, all first elected in the 2018 midterm elections.

In their recent Democratic presidential primaries, both Omar and Tlaib encouraged progressive voters to cast “uncommitted” ballots as a protest against President Biden’s support for Israel in its conflict with Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Omar has faced criticism for her outspoken support of Palestine and her call for “uncommitted” ballots in protest of Biden’s pro-Israel stance in the 2024 presidential primary.

In the photo, Omar is seen speaking with Rep. Rashida Tlaib, another member of the progressive squad and a Palestinian-American.

“If Don gets his message out – that he is a progressive and pragmatic alternative to Rep. Omar without the divisive comments and history of taking unpopular votes – Don starts this race tied, 41% Samuels to 41% Omar,” the candidate’s campaign manager Joe Radinovich explained.

“These results outline Rep. Omar’s vulnerability with her Democratic base in the Fifth Congressional District,” he added.

I would be ecstatically happy if this traitorous woman is defeated in the 2024 election. We should also deport her for her traitorous views and the numerous financial crimes she has committed, not to mention marrying her brother to allow him into our country. Many years ago, our founders, forbade Muslims from entering America and becoming citizens. I certainly respect their Muslim ban and as their religious views are incompatible with the Christian faith. We, as a Christian country, must protect our government from radical Muslim Sharia law! The enclaves of Muslim people that exist in America today have more than proved that the Muslim ban enacted by our founders was a very good idea. If we are to remain a Christian faith oriented society we must not have Muslim legislators polluting our society with incompatible laws that do not representing our secular faith. This is NOT discrimination against the Muslim faith, it is a matter of keeping our country on track with the rules ensconced within our constitution, Bill of Rights and our founders vision of a truly free society, unencumbered by the radical religious rules they wished to escape. Islam is truly incompatible with Christianity!

Sometimes it is hard to support those that support murders, even if they are Democrats.

Voting for either is like deciding which bad rash you wanted. Minnesota is still going to vote democrat and until Minnesota becomes like California and the people wise up to the destruction that is the democratic party, the decision between these two liberals is nil.

This anti-American traitor should not only not be allowed to hold office in this country but she should have her citizenship revoked and deported back to the country she holds so dear. Get her the HELL out of here!
