House Report Accuses Alyssa Farah, Liz Cheney of Witness Tampering

A shocking new congressional report accuses former Trump aide Alyssa Farah Griffin of acting as the “key go-between” for Liz Cheney and Cassidy Hutchinson during the January 6 Committee hearings. The House Administration Oversight Subcommittee alleges Cheney and Griffin orchestrated secret communications with Hutchinson, raising serious questions about witness tampering and ethical misconduct.

The interim report, released by Chairman Barry Loudermilk, calls for the FBI to investigate Liz Cheney for violating federal laws, including 18 U.S.C. 1512, which prohibits witness tampering. The subcommittee also raises concerns that Hutchinson, a former White House aide and a star witness in the committee’s investigation, may have committed perjury with Cheney’s involvement.

The controversy centers around text messages and communications first revealed in October. These messages indicate that Cheney and Hutchinson maintained direct and indirect communications facilitated by Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump administration official who has since distanced herself from Trump.

According to the report, on April 26, 2022, Hutchinson met with Griffin at Griffin’s Georgetown home. During this meeting, Hutchinson shared details she believed relevant to the January 6 investigation. Griffin reportedly agreed to serve as a liaison between Hutchinson and Cheney, bypassing Hutchinson’s legal counsel entirely.

Encrypted messages, believed to have been sent through the Signal app, reveal that Cheney was aware of the questionable ethics of bypassing Hutchinson’s attorney. For nearly a month, Griffin acted as an intermediary, facilitating Hutchinson’s cooperation with Cheney and helping to arrange a third interview with the January 6 Committee.

The May 17, 2022, interview marked Hutchinson’s third appearance before the committee and was led by Liz Cheney herself. In this session, Hutchinson presented several new claims that aligned with the committee’s effort to portray former President Donald Trump as directly responsible for the January 6 Capitol riot.

Critics argue these narratives were not only new but also uncorroborated. Among Hutchinson’s most explosive claims was the now-infamous allegation that Trump attempted to physically commandeer his presidential limousine to join supporters at the Capitol—a claim refuted by the Secret Service.

The report asserts that Hutchinson’s testimony was heavily influenced during this period, with Griffin and Cheney allegedly helping her craft a pretext for the third interview. Following the testimony, Hutchinson reportedly bypassed her attorney and communicated with Cheney directly.

Adding another layer of controversy, the report states that Cheney subsequently arranged for Hutchinson to receive new legal counsel from the prominent law firm Alston & Bird, who agreed to represent her on a pro bono basis. This further underscores Cheney’s involvement and raises concerns about undue influence on a witness.

The House subcommittee argues that Cheney’s actions likely violate federal witness tampering laws, which prohibit improper communications or coercion of witnesses. The report specifically cites 18 U.S.C. 1512, a law carrying penalties of up to 20 years in prison. It also accuses Cheney of potentially encouraging Hutchinson to commit perjury, another federal offense.

Chairman Barry Loudermilk and the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee are now calling on the FBI to open a formal investigation into Cheney’s actions and Alyssa Farah Griffin’s role in facilitating the communications. The report makes it clear that the subcommittee views these actions as serious breaches of federal law and congressional ethics.

“Numerous federal laws were likely broken by Liz Cheney,” the report reads, adding that Hutchinson’s unverified testimony raises significant concerns about perjury. By acting as a liaison and bypassing legal counsel, Griffin’s role in this process has also come under scrutiny, though the report primarily targets Cheney’s involvement.

This latest revelation deals another blow to the credibility of the January 6 Committee, which has already faced criticism for its handling of evidence and alleged partisan bias. The House GOP’s report suggests the committee’s leadership manipulated witnesses and testimony to build a predetermined narrative about Trump’s role in the Capitol riot.

The findings add to growing claims of misconduct, including reports of missing evidence and unpreserved data from the committee’s investigation. Many Republicans argue that these actions undermine the integrity of the inquiry and highlight the need for greater transparency and accountability in congressional investigations.

The allegations against Liz Cheney and Alyssa Farah Griffin mark a significant escalation in the fight over the January 6 narrative. With claims of secret witness communications, unethical bypassing of legal counsel, and potential perjury, the House Oversight Subcommittee’s report calls into question the integrity of the Democrat-led investigation.

As calls for an FBI investigation intensify, Cheney, Griffin, and the January 6 Committee face mounting scrutiny. This report not only challenges the credibility of key testimony but also raises broader concerns about the politicization of congressional inquiries. For critics of the January 6 investigation, these findings represent a significant vindication of long-held doubts about its fairness and impartiality.

Everyone committing a crime associated with 1/6 needs arrested and charged. That includes Pelosi. Haul her to prison on a gurney if necessary. She should not be excused because she is old, senile and evil. Fine her too and remove all her illegal market gains.
