Home Depot Labor Day Deals Slash Prices On Top Tools

Labor Day at Home Depot can feel like a treasure hunt with the good stuff hiding in plain sight. The sale racks are packed, the discounts are deep, and a few standout tools and battery bundles are slashed far more than the usual seasonal markdown. For anyone trying to stretch a budget without settling for junk, the smartest buys are the ones that deliver real savings on gear people actually use.

Among the sharpest finds is the Ryobi One+ ¼-inch Hex Screwdriver Kit, a compact helper that makes repetitive fastening much easier on the wrist. The kit drops from $158.94 to $49.97, which is the kind of cut that gets attention fast, especially for a tool that weighs just 2.5 pounds and still brings useful everyday punch.

It is not trying to replace a full-size drill, and that is part of the appeal. With a 600 rpm motor, variable-speed trigger, quick-connect hex collet, and built-in LED light, it handles smaller jobs without feeling clunky or overbuilt. The included battery and charger make it an easy grab for anyone who wants a simple, no-drama driver for household tasks and light assembly work.

For heavier work, the Ridgid 18V Brushless 4-Mode ½-inch High-Torque Impact Wrench Kit stands out as a much bigger beast at a much smaller price. Home Depot has it marked down from $557 to $199, a steep drop that puts a serious torque tool within reach of more shoppers.

This is the sort of wrench that earns its keep on stubborn bolts and demanding projects. It pushes up to 900 ft-lbs of fastening torque and 1,300 ft-lbs of breakaway torque, while the Auto-Tightening Mode adds a little smart convenience by stopping when the fastener is secure. Two 4.0Ah batteries, a charger, and a work bag round out a package that looks built for more than occasional use.

Battery deals rarely get the same buzz as shiny new tools, but they should. A good battery set can make or break a tool collection, and Home Depot’s Ryobi One+ battery combo is one of the more practical bargains in the bunch, dropping from $407 to $159.

The bundle includes two 6.0Ah batteries and one 4.0Ah battery, giving a mix of capacity that works well across a wide spread of Ryobi gear. Since they belong to the brand’s HP line, they are designed to play nicely with higher-performance tools, which means better power delivery and a longer useful life.

Sometimes the best deal is not about raw muscle at all, but about convenience in a workshop. The Ryobi One+ Workshop Blower Kit is a good example, priced down from $188.94 to $69.88 and aimed at a very specific kind of mess.

Instead of blasting leaves across a lawn, this compact blower is made for clearing sawdust, light debris, and the mess that piles up in garages and shops. Its one-handed design, sloped tunnel, rubber nozzle, and three speed settings make it a tidy little cleanup machine, and the included battery and charger help it feel more like a ready-to-go utility than a bare tool.

Not every Labor Day bargain has to stay on the ground, either. The Milwaukee M12 Fuel 6-inch Brushless Pruning Hatchet Mini Chainsaw Kit is one of the most eye-catching cuts in the sale, dropping from $509 to $199.

That price puts a compact pruning saw into a far more realistic range for homeowners who handle yard cleanup themselves. Milwaukee says the tool can cut hardwoods up to 3 inches in diameter and deliver up to 120 cuts on a charge, while the sub-5-pound weight keeps it manageable in tight spaces, on ladders, or anywhere a full-size saw would feel like too much.

The rest of the kit adds even more value, with two high-output batteries, a charger, and a protection sleeve included. Between the brushless motor, automatic oiler, easy chain tensioning, and onboard storage for the scrench, it is built to make pruning feel less like a chore and more like a quick hit-and-done job.
