Evidence Emerges of Facebook’s Role in COVID-19 Censorship Efforts

James O’Keefe’s O’Keefe Media Group has dropped a stunning exposé, uncovering evidence that Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook (now Meta) actively collaborated to promote pro-COVID vaccine narratives and suppress dissenting viewpoints. The revelations come as Zuckerberg embarks on a public relations campaign, blaming the Biden administration for pressuring Facebook into censorship—a claim now cast in doubt by these new findings.

Zuckerberg recently admitted to Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan that Facebook succumbed to government pressure during the pandemic and the 2020 election, pledging to resist such actions in the future. In a widely discussed interview with Joe Rogan, Zuckerberg doubled down, alleging that the Biden administration “forced Facebook” to censor COVID-19 vaccine-related content.

The tech mogul also announced the termination of Facebook’s third-party fact-checking program, signaling a potential shift away from its controversial policies. However, critics argue that this newfound contrition is too little, too late.

Conservative voices have long accused Facebook of systematically suppressing their content. As far back as 2018, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas exposed how social media platforms engaged in shadow banning and content throttling. These practices continued under the Biden administration, with platforms like Twitter also implicated in extensive government-corporate collusion, as revealed in Elon Musk’s release of The Twitter Files.

Moreover, Zuckerberg’s alleged complicity extends beyond COVID-19 narratives. His involvement in the 2020 election, through the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL), funneled millions into key swing states under the guise of civic engagement—a move critics claim helped tip the scales in favor of Democrats.

The latest bombshell centers on a leaked May 2021 conference call from the Rockefeller Foundation, obtained by O’Keefe Media Group. The recording reveals Facebook provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in free ad credits to pro-vaccine organizations.

Estelle Willie, the Rockefeller Foundation’s Director of Health Policy and Communications, can be heard discussing these arrangements:
“We negotiated 100,000 ad credits per pilot city to use, and then we also got ad credits for Governor Cuomo after he called Otis asking. It was the weirdest thing.”

John Spangler, the Foundation’s former Director of Communications and Advocacy, joked, “Estelle, you should just keep a running tab of the number of free ads you’ve unlocked from partners this year. That’d be a fun stat.”

The ad credits were reportedly distributed across seven “anchor partners,” including the Open Society Institute of Baltimore, the Chicago Community Trust, and United Way of Greater Newark.

Perhaps most damning is the implication that Facebook acted independently of the Biden administration in its censorship efforts. The leaked call details how Facebook maintained direct contacts with “public health influencers,” suggesting the platform willingly aligned itself with pro-vaccine messaging outside of government directives.

“This wasn’t just government pressure—Facebook had its own team dedicated to combating so-called misinformation,” O’Keefe stated.

Rockefeller employees on the call also discussed soliciting free advertising dollars from YouTube and Twitter, further highlighting the pervasive influence of big tech in shaping public narratives.

The revelations reignite longstanding concerns about the intersection of technology, government, and free speech. While Zuckerberg attempts to shift blame to the Biden administration, the evidence suggests Facebook was a proactive participant in promoting specific narratives.

This exposé also raises questions about the broader role of tech companies in public health crises and elections. With billions of users worldwide, platforms like Facebook wield immense power in shaping public discourse—power that critics argue has been misused to stifle dissent and manipulate outcomes.

James O’Keefe hinted at more revelations to come, including tapes allegedly exposing efforts by the Department of Defense and the Executive Office of the President to undermine the incoming Trump administration.

O’Keefe said, “This is just the tip of the iceberg. What we’ve uncovered is a web of collusion that extends far beyond Zuckerberg or Facebook. The American people deserve to know the truth.”

For Zuckerberg, the fallout could be significant. Already facing scrutiny from lawmakers and a loss of public trust, these latest findings may further erode his credibility. As investigations continue, the debate over the proper role of tech giants in public life is likely to intensify.

This exposé underscores the urgent need for transparency and accountability in big tech. As the full extent of Facebook’s actions comes to light, the public must grapple with a critical question: How much influence should private companies wield over public discourse—and at what cost to democracy?

For now, Zuckerberg’s apology tour appears less about genuine remorse and more about damage control as the walls close in on big tech’s unchecked power.
