Enrique Tarrio Claims DOJ Used FBI-Written Doc as Sole Evidence Against Proud Boys, Leading to 20-Year Sentences

Enrique Tarrio, the former leader of the Proud Boys, recently revealed that the FBI inserted a document into a Proud Boys chat, purportedly written by federal agents. This revelation emerged during an interview with Jim Hoft of The Gateway Pundit, marking Tarrio’s first major public appearance since his release from prison by President Donald J. Trump in January 2025. The interview unveiled startling details about the alleged false narrative surrounding the events of January 6, 2021, propagated by the Biden administration and mainstream media.

According to Tarrio, the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) attempted to coerce him into lying to implicate President Trump, a proposition he staunchly refused. Consequently, Tarrio was sentenced to 22 years in prison, based on what he described as a “kangaroo court” proceeding. The DOJ’s primary evidence against the Proud Boys was a document titled “1776 Returns,” which Tarrio claims was fabricated by the FBI and inserted into the group’s communications.

This alleged misconduct highlights the lengths to which the DOJ and the Biden administration were willing to go to indict Trump and his supporters. The New York Post corroborated these claims, pointing out the dubious origins of the “1776 Returns” document. In court, it was confirmed that the FBI was behind the creation of this document, which outlined a plan to take over government buildings on January 6.

The document’s existence and its use in court against Tarrio and four other Proud Boys members have drawn significant criticism. The accused were charged with seditious conspiracy, with Tarrio receiving a 22-year federal prison sentence. Yet, it has come to light that the FBI, not Tarrio or his associates, orchestrated the scheme.

In a motion filed by attorney Roger Roots, it was argued that the most incriminating document in the case was essentially a government setup. This revelation has been described as either entrapment or outrageous government misconduct. Additionally, it was a violation of the Brady rule, which requires the disclosure of exculpatory evidence to the defense.

The document, allegedly penned by Samuel Armes, a former government official with ties to the CIA and FBI, was passed to Tarrio through a personal connection. Armes had participated in “war gaming” exercises, which seemingly informed the contents of the “1776 Returns” document. The plan included the occupation of key government buildings, drawing parallels to historical revolutionary events.

Despite Tarrio never opening or reading the document, it was used against him in court. The DOJ presented it as evidence of a conspiracy, misleading the jury into believing it was Tarrio’s creation. Judge Timothy Kelly allowed this narrative to proceed, despite being aware of the document’s origins.

The mainstream media has largely ignored these revelations, which suggest a federal setup of the January 6 protests. The actions of the FBI and DOJ on that day have had devastating consequences. Four Trump supporters lost their lives, and countless others have faced severe repercussions.

Calls for an investigation into these actions have been growing. Conservative outlets like Fox News and Newsmax have emphasized the need for accountability. The legacy media’s reluctance to cover these developments raises questions about bias and transparency.

Justice for those wronged by these actions remains a pressing issue. The truth behind the events of January 6 and the role of federal agencies must be thoroughly examined. The American public deserves a transparent investigation into these troubling allegations.

The involvement of government operatives in crafting the narrative of that day cannot be overlooked. Conservative leaders have urged for a reevaluation of the charges and sentences handed down. The integrity of the judicial process must be restored.

As these details continue to emerge, the credibility of the DOJ and FBI is under scrutiny. Their actions have not only affected the individuals involved but have also shaken public trust. The implications of this case extend far beyond the courtroom.

The demand for truth and accountability is echoed by many. The American people deserve to know the full story behind January 6. Holding those responsible accountable is essential for healing and moving forward.

These revelations underscore the importance of transparency in government operations. The actions of the FBI and DOJ must be thoroughly investigated. Only then can justice truly be served.

The public continues to await a comprehensive resolution to these allegations. The legacy of January 6 and its impact on American politics and society remain significant. Ensuring justice and accountability is crucial for the nation’s future.

This should be investigated and if true, charges brought against the perpetrators.
If this was done with the knowledge of FBI higher ups, such as the director, it will mean there needs to be an FBI shakeup.
This was essentially a coup and perpetrators need to be treated appropriately.
This is way over the horizon from political dirty tricks, and means the FBI engaged in real crime, and likely conspiracy, which would indicate RICO laws would apply.
That the prime crime fighting agency, the FBI, would be breaking the law and engaging in felonious behavior is outrageous.

Absolutely correct and I think it’s true, but wish it weren’t!
Just being cliché, heads MUST roll!
