The Justice Department is pushing a record-setting wave of denaturalization cases, targeting people it says lied, hid disqualifying crimes, or otherwise gamed the system to win U.S. citizenship. The complaints stretch across 17 countries and include some ugly allegations, from attempted murder and child sexual abuse to marriage fraud, identity fraud, and assault.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said citizenship is supposed to be earned honestly, not built on lies or buried criminal records. He said the latest filings show fraud, concealment, and other illegal conduct that should have kept these individuals from ever becoming citizens in the first place.
The department’s newest round covers 25 naturalized citizens, according to Fox News Digital, after an additional case was added to the total. Those cases were filed over a tight window between July 20 and Aug. 3, and they involve people originally from countries including Pakistan, Moldova, India, Mexico, Colombia, Nigeria, Liberia, Ghana, Jamaica, Taiwan, Honduras, Cameroon, Jordan, Cuba, El Salvador, Haiti, and Sweden.
What makes the move stand out is not just the number of cases, but the pace. Blanche called it the largest coordinated denaturalization effort in Department history and said it is still just the opening act, with more cases expected as the administration keeps pressing hard on immigration fraud and citizenship abuse.
The allegations are broad, and some are especially serious. The list includes attempted murder, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, bank and credit card fraud, passport fraud, identity fraud, and even practicing medicine without a license.
One case centers on a man in North Carolina who was convicted of attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Prosecutors say he obtained citizenship through military service but did not actually meet the required period of honorable service, which would have been a major problem from the start.
Another case targets a naturalized citizen in South Carolina who allegedly hid a violent attack on his wife, later resulting in a guilty plea for assault and battery. According to the allegations, the woman was beaten and choked badly enough that she ended up hospitalized, which is the kind of fact pattern that can sink a citizenship case fast.
Officials say the goal is bigger than just punishing a few bad actors. The Justice Department has already filed 88 denaturalization cases since Jan. 20, 2025, which shows how aggressively the Trump administration is going after people it believes got into the system through deception.
Blanche said the cases are about protecting both the integrity of naturalization and public safety. That message is simple and blunt: if someone lied to get citizenship, hid a violent record, or smuggled in disqualifying facts, the government wants them out.
The department’s civil division also framed the effort as a fast-moving cleanup operation. Brett Shumate said the filings mark the biggest denaturalization surge ever recorded, and the wording signals that officials see this as a long campaign, not a one-off headline.
In June, the department already moved against 17 people from 13 countries over accusations that included child sexual abuse, narcotics trafficking, and large-scale financial fraud. That earlier batch now looks like part of a broader pattern, with immigration enforcement and citizenship review being used as a much sharper weapon than before.
The message from Washington is clear, and it is not subtle. Citizenship is being treated less like a shield and more like a privilege that can be taken back when fraud, violence, or deception comes to light, and the latest filing spree shows the administration is not easing up anytime soon.

Hope Ilhan Omar is on that list
I’m sure that there are many more, considering the ones who still hold allegience to their home country, like Ilhan Omar, who had stated this in many videos, including saying the president of Somalia is her President, and of course, Zoran Mamdani, who is acively destroying New York City. Both Mamdani and Omar are communists, not socialists, who hate this country, who who want to destroy itm just like the imams told them to do; “Get into places of government and destroy America from within,” is what they’ve said in videos. Just look at the Democratic Socialist of America, who mirror having no jails, not prisons, no borders, no capitalism, (then where would they buy their expensive clothes and lattes), and much more that would turn us into the third-world country they left. Investigations have shown there is no record of Omar’s father applying for naturalization, proof she married her brother, and Omar recently changed her birth year because when her father applied when Ilhan said, she had to still be a minor, when she was actually about turn 19. Between her communistic views and no naturalization proof, and married her own brother, why is she still in Congress?
Well, I noticed there was no mention of Ilhan Omar. Now she is a person who deserves to be de-naturalized.
