CENTCOM Confirms Three US Troops Killed, Several Wounded

CENTCOM says three U.S. service members were killed and five seriously wounded as Operation Epic Fury continues, with Iran responding by launching missiles and drones; President Trump announced the strike, and major combat operations are ongoing while families of the fallen are being notified.

The U.S. military launched an operation that was announced publicly by President Donald Trump, and CENTCOM has since provided casualty figures as the fight moves forward. The announcement set a clear tone: decisive action in response to a direct threat, carried out with the goal of protecting American lives and allies. The fast-moving nature of the campaign means details will emerge over time, but the stakes are high and the mission remains active.

“As of 9:30 am ET, March 1, three U.S. service members have been killed in action and five are seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury,” CENTCOM posted. “Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being returned to duty. Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing.”

The loss of life is tragic, and it underscores the price paid by service members who execute orders under fire. Military families deserve every bit of privacy and respect while notification procedures are completed, and commanders made clear they will withhold names until next of kin are told. That protocol is standard, and it protects families during a painful and private moment.

“The situation is fluid, so out of respect for the families, we will withhold additional information, including the identities of our fallen warriors, until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified,” CENTCOM continued. Those words reflect both compassion and discipline from leadership during a chaotic period. It’s a reminder that behind headlines are real Americans who served and gave everything.

Iran reportedly struck back with missiles and unmanned systems against U.S. and Israeli targets, a predictable escalation after the high-value strikes that targeted regime leadership. This exchange shows why deterrence matters and why being seen as willing and able to act is central to preventing wider conflict. The region remains volatile, and operators on the ground and in the air are working to stabilize the situation while protecting civilians and our forces.

Domestic political debate will follow, but the immediate focus is on mission effectiveness and caring for the wounded and the families of the dead. From a conservative perspective, decisive military action taken to defend American interests and allies is both necessary and justified when clear threats materialize. Leaders must balance force with prudence, but retreat or indecision invites worse outcomes.

Reporting is still developing and commanders warn new facts may arrive as units return to base and after-action assessments are made. Media fragments and social posts will spill more claims and footage in the coming hours, but official channels remain the best source for verified information about casualties and objectives. The Pentagon and CENTCOM will continue to brief lawmakers and the public as they can without compromising operations or family notifications.

Whatever the next updates bring, the core reality is simple: Americans served and some paid the ultimate price in a fight ordered at the highest level to confront a dangerous adversary. That sacrifice deserves honor, clarity, and the full measure of U.S. military support as wounded troops recover and units reconstitute. Policymakers should give commanders the tools they need and the public the straightforward truth about what our armed forces face overseas.

God bless those service member heroes who gave all they have to protect America and it’s most valued interests both here in the United States and Overseas! This is only happening now because appropriate action against an evil adversary regime has been long delayed and overdue due to lax Administrative and Congressional fortitude in dealing with some of our worst enemies and their proxies whose sole desire is and was to kill Americans and destroy America!
Keep praying that those that should have been eliminated from the equation long ago have been and will be now moving forward!
