Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was released Wednesday night from a Tennessee jail after serving just over two days of a four-day sentence for misdemeanor DUI.

Cutler walked out of the Williamson County facility less than 60 hours after reporting Monday morning, according to TMZ. He struck a plea deal with prosecutors on Aug. 26, admitting guilt to misdemeanor DUI.

His sentence included four days in jail, one year of supervised probation, a $350 fine, and a one-year suspension of his Tennessee driver’s license, the outlet reported.

The case stemmed from an October 2024 crash in Franklin, Tennessee, where Cutler allegedly rear-ended another vehicle while intoxicated. Court records say he offered the other driver $2,000 to avoid calling police, according to TMZ.

The driver, Perry Lee, has since filed a lawsuit claiming the crash left him with lasting injuries and ongoing pain.
