A number of Trump supporters experienced mysterious eye injuries after attending a rally in Tucson, Arizona, on September 12, held at the Ronstadt Music Hall.
Among those affected was Mayra Rodriguez, a prominent Republican and former Planned Parenthood whistleblower, who began feeling intense irritation in her eyes shortly after leaving the event.
Rodriguez, along with approximately 20 others, reported symptoms such as blurred vision, severe eye pain, and facial swelling.

Rodriguez initially thought her symptoms were due to allergies but the discomfort intensified during her drive back to Phoenix.
The pain became so severe that she sought emergency medical care, where doctors speculated she might have been exposed to some form of chemical irritant.
Despite this, they were unable to determine a specific cause for her condition. In an interview with local news outlet KVOA, Rodriguez described the excruciating pain, stating, “It hurts a lot to open my eyes,” and adding that she had to constantly apply a cold cloth to alleviate the burning sensation.
Other rally attendees experienced similar symptoms.
A brother and sister, who wished to remain anonymous, reported that their eyes began watering, their noses started running, and their faces became flushed during the event. The brother described the pain in his eyes as “unbearable,” leaving his eyes red and irritated.
As of yet, no clear explanation has surfaced as to what caused the injuries. Medical staff ruled out the possibility that the venue’s lighting or any harmful substances had caused the symptoms, and no harmful material was found at the rally site.
The Secret Service, which was present at the rally attended by over 2,000 supporters, stated they were unaware of the incident and affirmed that there had been no threat to Trump during the event.
However, some attendees remain perplexed as to why only a small group, seated on the right side of the stage, were affected by the mysterious illness.
Rodriguez, whose vision had deteriorated to near blindness by the end of the week, saw gradual improvement in the days following the event.
Despite this, she and others are left puzzled, particularly questioning why the symptoms seemed localized to those near the area where Trump entered the venue.
This strange occurrence comes in the wake of a separate incident involving an alleged assassination attempt on Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course.
In that event, a suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, was reportedly armed and managed to get within 300 to 500 yards of the former president before being intercepted by the Secret Service.
Although the two incidents are unrelated, the timing has fueled speculation and concern among Trump’s supporters and security personnel.
The investigation into the eye injuries remains ongoing as medical professionals and authorities seek to determine what caused the troubling symptoms experienced by attendees.
