Donald Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, made bold predictions during a recent Fox News segment with Jesse Watters, speculating that President Joe Biden will issue a series of controversial pardons before the end of his term. According to Habba, Biden could pardon himself, his family members, and close political allies, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in a move she claims will shock the country.
The conversation, which aired on Jesse Watters Primetime, centered on Biden’s decision to grant a blanket pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, amid ongoing investigations into his financial dealings and other legal troubles. Watters posed the question of whether Biden wrestled with the decision, hinting at its controversial nature.
“You heard Binder say that Joe Biden, was he wrestling with this pardon? Do you believe there was a lot of wrestling with the idea of pardoning your son?” Watters asked.
Habba was unequivocal in her response, dismissing the notion that Biden struggled with the decision.
“No, and I guarantee you, and you can quote me on this,” Habba said. “I’ll come on your show when it happens. He’s going to pardon himself. He’s going to pardon his family, Shifty Schiff [Rep. Adam Schiff], Nancy Pelosi, and anybody else who had their hands in the cookie jar. I do not doubt it.”
Habba described Biden’s approach to pardons as premeditated, suggesting it was part of a broader strategy to shield himself and his allies from accountability.
“All we’re hearing is leaks of something we already knew. They lied to us during the election,” Habba said. “The American people saw through it, and now here we are. Pardon after pardon will be handed out, and I assure you of that.”
She also predicted that the scope of the pardons would trigger a seismic reaction from the American public.
“KJP [White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre] is admitting it. More are to come, but it’s going to be rocking the nation when we see who it is that he pardons,” Habba added.
The segment aired amid heightened speculation about Biden’s potential use of his clemency powers. Critics argue that issuing widespread pardons for political allies and family members would erode public trust in the justice system and set a dangerous precedent for executive overreach.
House Speaker Mike Johnson weighed in on the controversy earlier, criticizing Biden’s blanket pardon for Hunter Biden as a move that “irreparably” harms the integrity of the legal system.
“Joe Biden insisted many times he would never pardon his own son for his serious crimes. But last night, he suddenly granted a ‘Full and Unconditional Pardon’ for any and all offenses that Hunter committed for more than a decade! Trust in our justice system has been almost irreparably damaged by the Bidens and their use and abuse of it,” Johnson said in a statement.
Habba’s claims have sparked further debate over whether Biden’s actions reflect a broader pattern of perceived dishonesty by the administration. During the 2020 presidential campaign, Biden publicly stated that he would not interfere in legal matters involving his family. However, critics argue that recent developments contradict those promises.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis, a Democrat, also criticized Biden’s decision to pardon his son, calling it a move that prioritizes personal loyalty over national interests.
“While as a father I certainly understand President @JoeBiden’s natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country,” Polis wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
While the president’s authority to issue pardons is enshrined in the Constitution, the implications of Biden’s potential moves raise questions about the balance between executive power and public accountability.
Some legal experts defend the president’s use of clemency as a legitimate tool to address perceived injustices, even when it involves close associates or family members. Others contend that using this power to protect oneself and political allies undermines the rule of law.
Conservative commentators, including Habba, argue that Biden’s actions will not go unnoticed by voters. “The American people are watching,” Habba said. “This isn’t just about politics. It’s about justice and the truth.”
As speculation mounts over Biden’s clemency plans, the nation waits to see whether Habba’s predictions will come to pass. If Biden does issue additional pardons, the political and public fallout could significantly impact his legacy and the 2024 election cycle.
Regardless of the outcome, Habba’s remarks underscore the growing polarization surrounding presidential powers and their use in an era of hyper-partisanship. Whether these predictions prove accurate, they are certain to fuel an already heated debate about accountability, transparency, and justice in American politics.

I have awaited that for years, and still nothing.
