Schools Orchestrate Walkouts, Teacher Unions Prioritize Indoctrination

Classrooms across America are turning into political staging areas, with students encouraged to walk out during school hours under the guise of civic engagement. This piece lays out how adult-organized protests, union influence and declining academic standards are colliding to harm students and undermine parents.

Across the country, mass chaos is erupting in classrooms as students are being encouraged and aided to leave school during the day to protest American law enforcement. People call these actions “demonstrations” and praise “student voice,” but the labels hide who is really pulling the strings.

These events are not spontaneous youth uprisings. Adults design national protest strategies, coordinate messaging across states and time walkouts for maximum political effect. The result is a coordinated effort to turn children into activists rather than pupils.

Public schools are being used as indoctrination camps to turn children into social justice foot soldiers who push a Marxist agenda and create disruption aimed at President Donald Trump and his administration. The adults behind this are often the same networks tied to teacher unions and activist groups.

CONSERVATIVE ICON RIPS TEACHERS’ UNIONS AS SCHOOLS TURN INTO ‘PROPAGANDA AGENCIES’ is not an exaggeration when unions and allied groups blur the line between education and political warfare. That blurring matters because it warps the purpose of schooling and treats classrooms as recruitment centers.

Students are being used, not empowered, when schools become staging grounds for organized protest. With teacher unions and adult-led activist networks scripting actions, the so-called grassroots movement looks more like top-down orchestration.

JOHNNY CAN’T READ — EVEN IN COLLEGE. I LEAD A UNIVERSITY AND IT’S TERRIFYING sums up a harsh reality: student proficiency in core subjects is tanking while activism is prioritized. According to NAEP data, only 35% of high school seniors are proficient in reading and just 22% are proficient in math.

Nearly a third of students are stuck below basic reading levels and 45% fall below basic in math, figures that reflect a system trading literacy and numeracy for ideology. These numbers are not abstract; they show the direct academic fallout of prioritizing political organizing over instruction.

CAMPUS RADICALS: DEMS TARGET MILITARY SCHOOL, CHICAGO TEACHERS WREAK HAVOC, COLLEGE NURSE’S VIRAL SCANDAL highlights how disruption extends from K-12 into higher education and beyond, with real consequences for institutions and families. Chronic absenteeism has become a national crisis that did not arise by accident.

Before COVID-19, chronic absenteeism sat around 15 percent; after prolonged shutdowns and mixed messaging, that figure has roughly doubled to about 30 percent. Teachers unions pushed long closures beyond the science, teaching a generation that school attendance is optional and that skipping class can be virtuous if it fits a political narrative.

WASHINGTON POST RIPS CHICAGO TEACHERS UNION FOR PURSUING SOCIAL JUSTICE INITIATIVES AS STUDENTS STRUGGLE captures the backlash when unions prioritize politics over learning while test scores plummet. Promoting walkouts about ICE, Venezuela or other political flashpoints reinforces skipping school as a moral act when the politics meet their approval.

When parents encourage missed days, schools label it truancy, but when unions organize it, they call it activism and applaud. That double standard undermines parental authority and the trust families place in schools to educate rather than recruit.

PRESIDENT OF LARGEST TEACHERS UNION SET TO SPEAK AT ‘POLITICAL REVOLUTION’ EVENT TARGETING ICE and CHICAGO TEACHERS UNION SPARKS BACKLASH WITH VIDEO HARASSING TARGET EMPLOYEES OVER ICE AS TEST SCORES PLUMMET show the political ambitions at play. These leaders push a narrative where organizing children into protests becomes a primary tactic, not a side effect.

NEA INSIDER BLOWS WHISTLE ON ‘TOXIC’ CULTURE AND FAR-LEFT POLITICS INSIDE TEACHERS UNION: ‘IT’S A CULT’ points to an organization that resists parental involvement because it threatens their narrative control. Unions fear parents because parental engagement would complicate and often contradict the political messages being pushed in schools.

MINNEAPOLIS TEACHERS UNION CHIEF ADMITS ELECTED OFFICIALS IN ANTI-ICE SIGNAL CHATS and TEACHERS UNION PRESIDENT CALLS TRUMP A ‘DICTATOR’ ON UNEARTHED CALL WITH ANTIFA-LINKED GROUP reveal how deeply political some education leaders have become. They borrow tactics and rhetoric straight from Karl Marx’s playbook, weaponizing sympathy and shielding themselves behind accusations of being “anti-student” to silence criticism.

If unions truly believed in authentic student voices, they would not script them or ignore parents. If they cared about education, they would prioritize reading, writing, math and science instead of organizing walkouts and headlines.

Students need more time in classrooms and teachers focused on instruction, not politics. The path forward is simple: restore schools to families and taxpayers, not union agendas, and stop letting America’s classrooms be turned into political battlegrounds.
