World Athletics President Sebastian Coe emphasized the importance of preserving the integrity of women’s sports. He stated, “The philosophy that we hold dear in World Athletics is the protection and the promotion of the integrity of women’s sport.” Coe believes this test is crucial to ensure that women can compete without facing a “biological glass ceiling.”
Sebastian Coe also made it clear that, at the elite level, competitors in the female category must be biologically female.
