The individual who tried to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night has been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Penn. However, no further details about his background have been disclosed by officials.
His father, Matthew Crooks, told CNN he was trying to figure out “what the hell is going on” but would “wait until I talk to law enforcement” before speaking.
“This remains an active and ongoing investigation,” the F.B.I. said in a statement early Sunday.

This was the most serious assassination attempt on a president or presidential candidate since the shooting of Ronald Reagan in 1981 as he was leaving a speech in Washington, DC and heading to his motorcade.
John Hinckley Jr., who was among the crowd, was the assailant in this attempted assassination.
Reagan survived the shooting in March 1981. Three other individuals were also shot, including his press secretary James Brady, who suffered partial paralysis as a result.
The F.B.I noted that the gunman involved in the attempt on Trump’s life did not have a criminal record according to Pennsylvania’s public court records. Officials stated that they had not yet determined a motive for the attack.
Law enforcement sources told CBS News that Crooks had been armed with “an AR-style rifle.”
In a statement, the F.B.I. said:
“The FBI has identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the subject involved in the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump on July 13, in Butler, Pennsylvania. This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and anyone with information that may assist with the investigation is encouraged to submit photos or videos online at FBI.gov/butler or call 1-800-CALL-FBI.”
Special Agent Kevin Rojek, head of the FBI team, revealed that Crooks was identified through DNA since he did not have any identification on him.
According to The Intercept, the shooter made a single $15 contribution to the liberal ActBlue political action committee on January 20, 2021 – the day of President Biden’s inauguration.
At the time of the donation, Crooks was 17 years old. Records obtained by the New York Post indicate that he registered as a member of the GOP on his 18th birthday in September of that year.
As per Lt. Col. George Bevins of the Pennsylvania State Police via NBC addressing motives of the shooter, “It’s too soon to determine that. We have provisionally identified one shooter, but our investigation is ongoing. We are following multiple leads, and it will be some time before we can definitively state if it was the act of a single gunman.”
U.S. Secret Service officers fatally shot the suspect at the scene, confirmed Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the agency.
He also reported that one bystander was killed and two others were critically injured in the shooting. Subsequently, officials disclosed that all three victims were male.

Without question, this was a horrific “Site Assessment FAILURE” by the Secret Service. No one other than a member of Donald Trump’s protection detail should have had the opportunity to access the roof of a building only 130 yards away with a clear line-of-site to the podium. It is only through God’s Amazing Grace that we are just praying for a speedy recovery, for the event attendee who was murdered, and for those who are still fighting for their lives. 😢😢🙏🙏🙏 Lord, hear our prayers now and in the future for the man who is still willing to “stand in the way” for us and for our nation.

I agree with THE REBEL! All those so called professional law enforcement people especially those that were there to stop any sniper didn’t detect anything yet a few civilians seen the sniper climbing onto the roof and were telling law enforcement about it. Plus the best building for a sniper didn’t have security on top of it. I’ve read a limited report that a cop did climb on the roof but was forced off by the sniper pointing the rifle at him. If the cop started shooting as soon as he was out of position to be shot that would have notified other law enforcement and SS near trump to protect him.

That Thomas Crooks donated 15 Dollars to “ActBlue” – the Democrat/Biden cam – 3 years ago, when he was 17.
But one year later, at 18, he became a Republican?
Why and how that?

My major concern is how are we supposed to trust the FBI to do an investigation? They are worthless, and constantly covering for the democrats when they knew the Russia, Russia hoax was a hoax from the start as was the hunter laptop was not a Russian operation!
