As I sat down with my morning coffee, I couldn’t shake off the urgency and frustration that filled me. Yet, despite this, I found myself asking: What is Congress really doing for us?
Congress appears increasingly feckless, unable to take decisive action. Sure, public awareness is important—it’s crucial even—but is that enough? Marjorie Taylor Greene’s livestream might bring some much-needed attention to these issues, but let’s be real here: What tangible actions are being taken to hold people accountable? Why did we vote these representatives into office if their main contribution is becoming social media influencers rather than enacting change?

While they serve as platforms to share critical information, they don’t substitute the hard-hitting oversight and action that we voted for. Our weak and ineffective Republican oversight has allowed Marxist ideologies to creep into our government institutions unchecked. The CIA has overstepped its boundaries, encroaching upon Congress itself—yet no one dares to address it.
Instead of real action and accountability, we get hearings that accomplish little more than feel-good moments for a few hours. Yes, figures like Carol Castronovo provide compelling testimony about events like the tragic death of Roseanne Boyland during January 6th—but what comes next? If our representatives cannot enact change and hold wrongdoers accountable, what good are these hearings?
President Trump finds himself in the crosshairs once again. He’s expected to fend off attacks related to January 6th during upcoming debates. People like Kamala Harris will attempt to pin the “insurrection” label on him in an effort to tarnish his credibility. However, Trump isn’t one to back down easily.
While Trump remains guarded about his strategy—understandably so—his vast experience in business negotiations and previous debate victories indicate he’s more than ready. Remember how he managed to outmaneuver heavyweights like Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz? He even held his ground against Hillary Clinton with remarkable poise.
Trump needs another landmark moment during this debate—a moment that will make Americans rethink their choices. When facing Kamala Harris, who may perform well under pressure, it’s crucial that Trump delivers a commanding performance that reveals the inadequacies of his opponents.
We cannot afford complacency; this isn’t just another election cycle—it’s a fight for the very soul of our constitutional republic. In less than 60 days, the decisions made could determine whether we preserve our freedoms or see them eroded further.
