So called relaxing of global intentions have occurred throughout history between major adversaries, even France and England prior to and during WWII who were always at each other’s throats for centuries! A major period of détente had begun just prior to the President Carter years which led to The First Treaties of Détente the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) of 1968, which was an agreement that was signed by several major nuclear and non-nuclear power nations pledging their cooperation in stemming the spread of nuclear arms proliferation.

But it did not ultimately prevent the proliferation of nuclear arms though it paved the way for the Strategic Arms Limitations Talks back in November 1969 to May 1972. They yielded the Anti-ballistic Missile Treaty with an interim agreement that caped the number of intercontinental ballistic missiles each side could possess.

Ultimately this all led to a 1975 Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe and the Helsinki Final Act which was signed by 35 nations, this act which while addressing a some global issues associated with the Cold War implications, even things like new opportunities for trade and cultural exchange, and policies promoting the universal protection of human rights. We all should know how these lip service and window dressings maneuvers on the global stage actually go by now! U.S. vs. Soviet détente drudged along while both nations had agreed on a second SALT agreement neither government ratified it.
Diplomatically both nations agreed to continue to adhere to the arms reduction provisions of the old SALT I negotiation provision pending future negotiations. Then The Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan and Carter increased military spending exponentially leading to more Cold War and outright Military Conflicts!

And make no mistake about it you “can’t charm and sleep in bed with a Viper” and that is what Putin is, because he is Hell-Bent on bringing back the “Old Soviet Union Empire!” Communism is antithetical totally to Christianity and God period and actually serves the Devil along with the Beast World System; preparation for the Antichrist! Don’t be fools is all I can say, I do not trust Putin or any Commie as far as I could throw them! Remember that Karl Marx talked his own two daughters into committing suicide!!! He openly worshiped Satan! Another thing I add is I don’t trust any worldly powerful man with too much wealth, money and power, generally swimming in sin as normal modus operandi, because it corrupts the soul and its impossible for such an individual to be humble enough to align fully with God Almighty!

Matthew 6:23-25 “But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. 25Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?”
