‘The Five’ Co-Host Tarlov Hit With Defamation Lawsuit By Tony Bobulinski

Jessica Tarlov, co-host of Fox News’ popular show “The Five,” is facing a defamation lawsuit from a key witness in the Republican impeachment investigation of President Joe Biden.
Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, has accused Tarlov of damaging his reputation by falsely claiming on air that a pro-Trump super PAC paid for his legal fees.
Bobulinski alleges that Tarlov’s statements have irreparably harmed him.
“Tony Bobulinski’s lawyers’ fees have been paid by a Trump super PAC,” she said. “That’s as recent as January. Do you think that a guy who’s invested in how much better off he wants the United States to be and really getting to the bottom of this would be taking money from the guy who extorted the Ukrainians to get dirt on the Bidens?”:
Bobulinski, who testified before a House committee last week, strongly refuted Tarlov’s accusation and stated that he has been covering his own legal costs, which have exceeded $500,000 to date.
The following day, Tarlov said on-air: “I would like to clarify a comment I made yesterday during our discussion of Tony Bobulinski’s appearance at the congressional hearing. During an exchange with my colleagues about the hearing, I said that Mr. Bobulinski’s lawyer’s fees have been paid for by a Trump Super PAC as recently as January.”

She added: “What was actually said at the hearing was that the law firm representing Mr. Bobulinski was paid by a Trump PAC. I have seen no indication that those payments were made in connection to Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees, and he denies that they were.”

Now, dressed in his suit, Bobulinski criticized Tarlov for her refusal to issue an apology and make a genuine correction to the record.
He expressed his intention to take legal action to hold her accountable.
Bobulinski has accused Tarlov of defamation through her public statements, which he claims have damaged his reputation and credibility.
He is seeking compensatory, special, and punitive damages as a result.

“This is not about money,” Bobulinski said. “This is about the truth, for which I have been fighting for four years.”

He added in a statement posted to the X platform:

It is important for media personalities like Ms. Tarlov to understand that lies have consequences. I have consistently told the truth to the American people about the deep corruption of the Biden family and will continue to do, and I have paid my legal expenses arising from my decision to come forward out of my own pocket. I will donate every penny I may be awarded in this suit to a children’s hospital and to support our military Veterans. Ms. Tarlov refused to apologize and sincerely correct the record. I look forward to holding her accountable in a court of law and to continuing to bring the truth to the American people.

On the recent Friday, tensions heightened as Bobulinski’s legal team insisted that Tarlov retract her statements and apologize publicly.

They specifically requested that the apology be delivered at the start of “The Five” and clearly admit the falsehood of her earlier remarks.

In an earlier communication, Bobulinski’s lawyers had denounced Tarlov’s comments as inaccurate and defamatory, asserting that they had harmed Bobulinski’s reputation unjustly.

The attorneys contended that Tarlov’s subsequent “clarification” fell short in rectifying the issue, criticizing her for not acknowledging the gravity of her allegations.
