Liz Cheney may find some solace in the pardon she received from former President Joe Biden, yet her political landscape remains as chilly as ever. Recent developments suggest that she shouldn’t settle into her current situation too comfortably.
In a significant move, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson from Louisiana has announced the formation of a new January 6 subcommittee. This committee will delve into “all events leading up to and after January 6,” replacing the former Subcommittee on Oversight from the Committee on House Administration. The new subcommittee will be chaired by Representative Barry Loudermilk from Georgia but will now operate under the jurisdiction of the House Judiciary Committee, led by Representative Jim Jordan from Ohio.
In his announcement, Speaker Johnson expressed, “House Republicans are proud of our work so far in exposing the false narratives peddled by the politically motivated January 6 Select Committee during the 117th Congress, but there is still more work to be done. We are establishing this Select Subcommittee to continue our efforts to uncover the full truth that is owed to the American people. The composition and other details regarding the Select Subcommittee will be announced soon.”
This shift of the subcommittee to the House Judiciary Committee seems to be a direct response to Biden’s decision to pardon those involved with the controversial January 6 Committee. Many Americans are eager to see justice served, and this move could be pivotal in fulfilling that desire.
Earlier this January, President Biden awarded Liz Cheney the Presidential Citizens Award, the second-highest civilian honor, which did not sit well with Speaker Johnson. He voiced his displeasure on social media, criticizing the award as a “complete joke and utter embarrassment.” His post continued, underscoring that the January 6 Select Committee “manipulated AND destroyed evidence – created a fake, phony narrative all to try and hurt Trump.”
Speaker Johnson assured the public that the investigation would continue with full funding, emphasizing that House Republicans remain committed to uncovering the truth behind the actions of the committee. This determination has only been fueled by Biden’s pardons, which appear to have motivated Republicans further to seek justice.
Jim Jordan, eager to restart the investigation, stated, “Rep. Loudermilk has been the leader in getting to the bottom of what the Democrat-led January 6 Committee failed to uncover, and we look forward to helping him bring all the facts to the American people.” Loudermilk shares this enthusiasm, expressing gratitude for Speaker Johnson’s commitment to their work and looking forward to collaborating with Chairman Jordan.
Loudermilk acknowledged the importance of their task, aiming to uncover all facts and begin essential reforms to prevent similar security failures in the future. His dedication to this mission is evident as he prepares to work alongside his colleagues to shed light on the events surrounding January 6.
The Republicans’ resolve to investigate the committee’s actions is unwavering, as they seek to hold those responsible accountable for any wrongdoing. This renewed effort represents a significant step toward ensuring transparency and justice, reinforcing the belief that the American people deserve to know the truth.
As the investigation gains momentum, it’s clear that Liz Cheney and others involved may face increased scrutiny. The political landscape remains dynamic, with Republicans determined to challenge the narrative set by the previous committee.
With the new subcommittee poised to take on its responsibilities, the coming months promise to be critical in uncovering the full scope of the events surrounding January 6. The pursuit of truth continues, with House Republicans leading the charge to provide clarity and accountability to the American people.
In this evolving political climate, the focus remains on ensuring that justice prevails and that the American public receives the answers they deserve. The commitment to this cause is evident in the actions and words of those spearheading the investigation, highlighting their dedication to serving the nation’s interests.
The journey to uncover the truth is underway, and the determination of House Republicans to achieve their objectives is stronger than ever. As the investigation progresses, the importance of transparency and accountability remains at the forefront of their efforts.

All of these low level excuses of the human species are good for one thing only, cleaning pond scum by sucking it up! It is hard keeping any food down just thinking about these invertebrates, a.k.a. SNAKES.
I get that for sure and say it often! Just as we both stated today elsewhere on this site about Biden and Harris at the Inauguration! Any such sorry ass excuses for human beings is very hard to put up with!
I quote:
“Biden and Harris remained seated” These two ‘vile’ examples of the human condition, as it was with the Scorpion and the Frog, cannot overcome their NATURE! I’m constantly amazed that President Trump can hold onto his breakfast, lunch, or dinner, having to be in the same zip code with the likes of these two.

Great point; I know I couldn’t!
I sure couldn’t stand being in the same building with them, “let alone breathing the same air!” I would truly find it nauseating in person to stare into the faces of those corrupted to their core wicked souls!
There was one guy caught up in the J6 melee that was treated very harshly and went blind during his incarceration.
He should sue everyone that was on the J6 committee.
Glenn; I agree and would advocate for him 100%! So many evil filthy rotten persons in involved in that entrapment set-up have caused his suffering and they now gloat in their ill-gotten gains like Nancy Pelosi who is one of the most vile human beings to have ever walked this earth; and her along with her husband are now in ecstasy with the hundreds of millions they just made in insider trading and scams! There is afterlife and there is a special place in hell for her ilk!
