Governor Forces New Yorkers to Fund Immigrants, Alters Census to Benefit Democrats

Governor Kathy Hochul has faced criticism for her significant financial support of services for illegal immigrants, raising concerns among taxpayers. She recently unveiled a $50 million legal defense fund intended to aid migrants in deportation battles, a part of a larger $4.3 billion budget for undocumented immigrant services approved by the Democrat-majority legislature. Critics argue that this spending neglects the needs of New Yorkers burdened by high taxes and rising Medicaid liabilities projected to exceed $1.2 billion.

Public discontent has erupted across social media platforms, with citizens urging assistance for homeless veterans and struggling families instead. State Senator Dean Murray accused the Democrats of violating federal law by funding healthcare for undocumented immigrants, while Assemblyman Joseph DeStefano suggested that the policies are designed to create dependency among immigrants for future political gain. Even Democratic Mayor Eric Adams expressed concern, stating that the influx of migrants could “destroy New York City,” attributing the issue to both Governor Hochul and President Biden’s lack of planning.

Governor Hochul’s support of New York City comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander has also drawn national attention. Lander was arrested by DHS agents for allegedly assaulting an ICE officer during a protest at an immigration court. A video of the incident captured Lander obstructing officers while demanding a judicial warrant, and Hochul stood by him post-arrest, calling it “a sorry day for New York and our country.”

Federal officials highlighted that assaults on ICE officers have surged by 413%, emphasizing their commitment to prosecuting such offenses. Lander’s arrest is part of a series of confrontations between Democrats and federal officers, incidents conservatives claim demonstrate Democrats’ readiness to compromise the rule of law for political spectacle. Meanwhile, a local investigation showed New York City has spent over $7 billion in recent years housing and caring for undocumented immigrants, keeping costs high even as migrant numbers decrease.

The city plans to close 50 shelters and hotels but still supports approximately 44,500 migrants, down from 65,000 the previous year. Watchdog groups have noted the steep costs associated with housing migrants, with expenses reaching $370 daily per migrant in hotels, compared to $207 for a homeless person in a shelter. Much of these funds are funneled through emergency contracts that lack thorough oversight.

Polls indicate strong public support for stricter immigration enforcement, putting Democrats on the defensive. As the next election cycle approaches, critics assert that Hochul “owns this crisis,” and voters are unlikely to forget the soaring costs and chaos from her sanctuary-first agenda. The Democrat strategy to house migrants in hotels instead of detention centers is seen as a calculated move.

Detained immigration cases typically proceed faster, often resolved within weeks or months, while non-detained cases can linger for years. By releasing migrants into communities rather than holding them in detention, Democrats create delays that allow individuals to later claim humanitarian grounds to remain in the U.S. due to prolonged residence. With over 3.5 million cases pending in immigration courts as of 2024, these delays are substantial.

This political strategy results in increased congressional representation. Under Section 2 of the 14th Amendment, the U.S. census counts all individuals, regardless of citizenship or legal status, thereby boosting representation for Democratic strongholds. Data reveals that immigration-driven population growth resulted in 26 House seats shifting post-2020 census, with the majority moving from Republican states to Democratic ones.

Retaining migrants in the country longer sets the stage for future political benefits. After extended residence, many migrants can apply for relief on compassionate grounds, benefit from potential amnesty or legalization programs, and eventually naturalize. During this time, their presence enhances Democratic power in redistricting and Electoral College calculations.

The hotel strategy serves a dual purpose: delaying legal proceedings to prevent quick deportations and ensuring migrants remain long enough for census counting, thereby strengthening Democratic influence immediately and in the future. New York City taxpayers are funding this strategic maneuver. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the implications of these decisions will resonate for years to come.

Hochal and Newscum are the poster children of Anti-American Communism.
Perhaps the Communist loving voters love to be told what to say and do, or they bow and pray to the Communist Democrats.
