Experts Believe Iran Nearly Developed a Nuclear Bomb

You know, there are some fresh concerns brewing about Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Experts are now suggesting that Iran might have been closer to creating a basic nuclear warhead than we initially thought.

This unsettling possibility adds a new layer to the tension in the Middle East, especially considering Israel’s recent actions against Iran’s nuclear facilities and military leaders.

For quite some time, Israeli experts have been ringing alarm bells about Iran’s uranium enrichment activities. They’ve been saying Iran was just “weeks away” from having a nuclear weapon. But now, the situation seems to have escalated, with Iranian intelligence sources indicating that Tehran was on the brink of assembling a rudimentary nuclear device.

Beni Sabti, an Iran expert from the Institute of National Security Studies, mentioned to Fox News Digital that the threat was both immediate and specific. He pointed out that Iran was covertly gathering materials near Tehran to build a primitive warhead.

Gregg Roman, who leads the Middle East Forum, highlighted that since the Trump administration resumed nuclear talks, Israel has been piecing together new intelligence that’s causing concern.

So, what kind of intelligence are we talking about here? Roman noted some eyebrow-raising activities at the Times Enrichment facility. Apparently, Iran restarted an explosives production line, which could be used to develop a nuclear weapon, and there were efforts to shape fissile material for a bomb.

While explosives have many uses, not all are military-related. However, if nuclear experts are worried about the specific shapes being made, it probably means these explosives might be part of a design for an implosion-type bomb. It’s worth remembering that the U.S. built a similar bomb way back in 1945.

Interestingly, Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, offers a more cautious perspective. She told a Senate hearing in April that Iran isn’t currently pursuing a nuclear weapon. According to her, the intelligence community believes Iran hasn’t resumed the nuclear weapons program halted in 2003.

Of course, it’s in Israel’s interest to highlight any potential nuclear advances by Iran. The threat of a nuclear-armed Iran is a direct danger to Israel, and it’s no secret that if Iran had a nuclear weapon, they might target Israel.

Now, many think Iran would need to develop a missile-ready nuclear weapon, but that’s not the only option. Iran could potentially place a crude device in a shipping container, sail it into an Israeli port, and detonate it.

Given the potential ways a nuclear device could be used, it’s reasonable to assume Iran has considered these possibilities. And if they aren’t working on nuclear weapons now, there’s a good chance they will in the future. That’s why Israel’s recent actions to dismantle Iran’s nuclear facilities might be seen as a preventive measure.

It’s a complicated situation, and the stakes are incredibly high. The ongoing tensions in the Middle East show no signs of easing, and the global community is watching closely. But one thing is clear: vigilance and decisive action are crucial in preventing nuclear proliferation.

Guessing is all it is. Know one knows.

A hundred Iranian or CCP Uranium “enriched” U-235 and Dynamite nuclear ‘dirty’ bombs may already have been smuggled into the USA over the last 5-15 years.
