Monday evening saw Joe Biden and Kamala Harris hosting a Juneteenth concert at the White House’s South Lawn, with performances by Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle.
“In 2021, President Biden signed bipartisan legislation establishing Juneteenth as the nation’s newest Federal holiday, so that all Americans can feel the power of this day, learn from our history, celebrate our progress, and recognize and engage in the work that continues,” the White House boasted.
After a 5-day visit to Paris, France, 81-year-old Biden returned to the White House on Monday evening and promptly headed to the South Lawn for the Juneteenth concert.
Biden appeared fatigued and seemed to struggle to keep up with the energetic atmosphere as he stood motionless while others danced around him.
Some mentioned that it looked like his drugs were wearing off.
