American Ex-Military Identified as Perpetrator in New Orleans Terror Attack; ISIS Flag Found on Vehicle

In the early hours of January 1, 2025, New Orleans’ French Quarter became the scene of a devastating terror attack that claimed the lives of at least 10 individuals and injured over 30 others. The assailant, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. citizen and former Army serviceman from Texas, drove a rented white Ford F-150 pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street during New Year’s celebrations.

Eyewitnesses recounted the horrifying moments as Jabbar, clad in full military gear and armed with an assault rifle, deliberately bypassed police barricades to target revelers. After crashing the vehicle, he engaged in a firefight with responding officers, resulting in his death. Two officers sustained injuries during the exchange but are reported to be in stable condition.

Anchored In Oklahoma

The discovery of an ISIS flag attached to the truck’s trailer hitch has led the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to treat the incident as a terrorist attack. Additionally, multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found within the vehicle, intensifying concerns about the assailant’s intentions and potential affiliations.

Jabbar’s background reveals a complex profile. Born in Houston in 1982, he served nearly a decade in the U.S. Army and reserves, receiving an honorable discharge. In recent years, he faced financial difficulties and had initiated divorce proceedings. Notably, his last recorded entry into the United States was in 2023 from Toronto, raising questions about his activities and associations during that period.

The attack has prompted a robust response from both local and federal authorities. New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick stated that Jabbar appeared intent on causing maximum harm, describing his actions as an attempt “to run over as many people as he possibly could.”

The FBI is ating the possibility of accomplices and any direct connections to ISIS or other extremist organizations.

Political leaders have also weighed in on the tragedy. President-elect Donald Trump condemned the attack as an “act of pure evil,” initially suggesting foreign involvement before it was confirmed that the perpetrator was a U.S. citizen.

Outgoing President Joe Biden offered full federal support to New Orleans, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation to prevent future incidents.

This reignited discussions about domestic terrorism and the radicalization of American citizens. The presence of an ISIS flag and the use of a vehicle as a weapon mirror tactics employed in previous international terrorist attacks, underscoring the persistent threat posed by extremist ideologies, even within national borders.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. The community of New Orleans, known for its resilience, now faces the challenge of mourning the victims while grappling with the implications of this heinous act.

In the wake of this tragedy, questions arise about the effectiveness of current measures to detect and prevent radicalization, especially among veterans and individuals with military training. The need for comprehensive strategies to address the root causes of domestic terrorism has never been more apparent.

As New Orleans begins the healing process, the nation stands in solidarity, reaffirming a collective commitment to safeguarding the values of freedom and security that define the United States.

When will people wake up and realize that ALL Mozlems are terrorists?????
I don’t care if the perpetrator is a U.S. citizen born in Houston, or that he served in the Military. His “religion” filled his head with hatred towards all non-Muslims. . All Islamists are infiltrators hell bent of killing all the infidels.
“infidels” = non-Islamists. Islam is Satanic to its core.
