5 Appliance Brands Owned By Electrolux Today

Electrolux has spent more than a century building a huge appliance empire, and a lot of shoppers run into its brands without even realizing it. The company sells under its own name, but it also owns a handful of labels that have their own long histories, distinct identities, and loyal followings. From kitchen workhorses to niche premium gear, these brands show just how wide Electrolux’s reach really is.

That reach matters because appliance shopping is rarely as simple as comparing logos on the front of a machine. A familiar brand name can hide a much bigger corporate story, with old rivals, major acquisitions, and global expansion all tangled together. In Electrolux’s case, the portfolio stretches across everyday household staples and specialized products that serve very different buyers.

AEG is one of the names that carries the most history, even though its appliance side now sits under Electrolux. The brand’s roots go back to the 1800s, but its modern appliance identity took shape after the original company broke apart and Electrolux picked up the division in the 1990s. You’ll find AEG appliances in many markets outside the U.S., and Electrolux still treats it as one of its core brands.

Frigidaire is the one most Americans know right away, and for good reason. It helped popularize home refrigerators and freezers so thoroughly that the name itself became shorthand for the appliance category. After years under different owners, Electrolux brought Frigidaire into the fold in 1986, and the brand still covers a broad lineup that includes ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and air conditioners.

Anova brings a very different vibe to the Electrolux family. Instead of leaning on old-school appliance tradition, it focuses on modern cooking tech, especially sous vide gear, combi ovens, and vacuum sealers. Electrolux bought the San Francisco-based company in 2017, and since then Anova has pushed deeper into smart kitchen features, including products that use AI to help guide cooking decisions.

What makes Anova interesting is how it took a restaurant technique and made it feel normal at home. That shift opened the door to a new crowd of users who wanted precision without professional kitchen training. The brand’s gear has also found some unexpected fans, which is part of the fun when a product becomes more versatile than its original purpose.

Vintec occupies a much more specialized corner of the market, but that’s exactly why it stands out. The brand focuses on wine cabinets and wine cellars, mostly for buyers in Australia and parts of Asia, though some products are also sold in the U.S. through dealers. Electrolux acquired Vintec in 2016, giving its lineup a premium, lifestyle-driven angle that is very different from a standard fridge or range.

The appeal here is obvious if you care about storage conditions as much as the bottle itself. Vintec ranges from compact cabinets for regular kitchens to larger units built for serious collectors with deep pockets and lots of cellar space. It is the kind of brand that feels tailored rather than mass-market, which helps Electrolux cover more than just the basics.

Zanussi adds yet another layer of history to the mix. Founded in Italy in 1916, it stayed family-run for decades before tragedy, financial pressure, and changing ownership pushed it toward Electrolux, which acquired it in 1984. Even now, the brand still has a strong presence in places like the U.K., while its professional appliance line shows up in markets around the world.

What ties all of these brands together is not just ownership, but staying power. Electrolux has managed to keep older names relevant while adding newer ones that fit changing tastes, from heritage European appliances to app-connected cooking tools and wine storage. That mix gives the company a kind of reach most shoppers never notice until they start looking closely at the label on the front of the machine.
