3 Cool New Motorcycles Arriving In 2027

Motorcycle fans have plenty to look forward to as 2027 starts taking shape, with new machines aimed at different kinds of riders and very different kinds of thrill. Some are built for the trail and long-distance adventure, some are pure competition weapons, and some lean into style and nostalgia without losing their punch. The lineup also shows how wide the motorcycle world has become, with choices that can appeal to new riders, seasoned racers, and everyone in between.

One of the standout arrivals is the BMW F 450 GS, a compact adventure bike that is expected to reach U.S. retailers in early 2027. It brings a 420 cc parallel-twin engine with 48 horsepower and 32 lb-ft of torque, which puts it in a sweet spot for riders who want usable power without jumping straight into something intimidating. BMW also packed it with handy features like Enduro footrests, BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, and an Easy Ride Clutch, all of which reinforce its do-it-all character.

That versatility matters because the F 450 GS is meant to handle more than just smooth pavement. Adventure bikes live or die by their ability to switch moods quickly, and this one looks built for that kind of role. At a base price of $6,995, it also lands in a zone that feels reachable compared with some larger, pricier adventure models, even if extra trims and options can nudge the final number upward.

Then there is the Ducati Desmo450 SM, which plays in a completely different lane. This is Ducati’s first supermoto built strictly for competition, and it is not street legal, so the focus is all about racing performance and sharp handling. With a starting price of $12,995, it is clearly aimed at serious riders who want a machine that looks fast standing still and feels even faster once it gets moving.

The heart of the Ducati is a 449.6 cc single-cylinder engine with desmodromic timing and an 11,900 rpm limiter, which gives it the kind of edge supermoto riders love. Showa suspension and Metzeler Racetec SM tires help it stay planted and controlled when the pace gets ugly. Its aluminum construction also keeps things as light as possible, with the body designed to minimize extra joins and rivets, which is exactly the sort of obsessive detail Ducati fans expect.

For riders who want something less extreme but still special, the Aprilia RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute brings a different kind of excitement. This limited-edition model is expected in the U.S. in early 2027 and carries a $11,999 price tag, giving it a premium feel without drifting into full-blown exotic territory. It is based on a bike already known for balancing performance and everyday usability, which makes this tribute version even more appealing.

The emotional hook here is strong, because the bike is tied to Phillip Island’s long and memorable run in MotoGP history. Aprilia dressed it in circuit-inspired livery and applied special touches across the tank, rims, and other details, giving it a look that sets it apart immediately. Beneath that styling, though, it still delivers a 105-horsepower 660 cc twin-cylinder engine, Ride-by-Wire throttle, and an electronic bidirectional gearbox, so the special edition vibe is not just skin deep.

What makes these models stand out is not that they chase the same goal, because they plainly do not. One is an adventure bike with broad appeal, one is a race-only supermoto built to attack corners, and one is a stylish tribute with real performance behind its flair. That mix is part of the fun, because 2027 is shaping up to be a year where motorcycle buyers can pick from a surprisingly rich spread of personalities.

Coolness on two wheels is never just about raw numbers, even if horsepower and price always get attention. Sometimes it is the shape, the story, the heritage, or the promise of a better ride on a certain kind of road that seals the deal. These three machines each bring a different kind of spark, and that is exactly why they are easy to get excited about.
