JD Vance Blasts AOC, Mamdani, Ossoff In TikTok Roast

Vice President JD Vance took a sharp, fast-moving swipe at some of the biggest names in Democratic politics, using a TikTok clip to toss out one-word reactions that landed somewhere between mockery and blunt dismissal. The short video gave a quick look at how he sees the political battlefield right now, with far-left figures drawing the harshest labels and Trump administration officials getting noticeably warmer treatment.

As names flashed across the screen, Vance moved at a clip that matched the format. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was called a “communist,” Sen. Jon Ossoff was labeled “lame,” and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was tagged as “crazy.” The pace gave the whole thing a punchy, no-frills feel, like a rapid-fire gut check instead of a polished political message.

The vice president seemed especially eager to unload on the left flank of the Democratic Party. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was described as “cranky,” while Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed was labeled “odd.” Those choices made the pattern pretty clear: the more activist or progressive the figure, the less patience Vance seemed to have for them.

One of the more pointed moments came when Sen. Adam Schiff’s name popped up. Vance barely stopped to think before giving the kind of answer that says more by saying less: “I mean, nothing,” he said. “Irrelevant.” That answer had a certain sting to it, the kind that turns a name into a punchline in just a couple of words.

Not everyone in the clip got the cold shoulder. When Trump administration officials appeared, Vance’s tone softened fast, with outgoing White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called “awesome,” deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller described as “hardcore” and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles labeled “tough.” The contrast was stark and deliberate, like he was drawing a hard line between allies he respects and political opponents he clearly does not.

He also had something to say about Robert F. Kennedy Jr., calling him “interesting,” while Secretary of State Marco Rubio was described as “funny” and House Speaker Mike Johnson as “kind.” Those choices added a bit of variety to the video and made it more than just a list of attacks, even if the sharpest edges were clearly reserved for the left.

When Democratic Socialists of America leader Megan Romer appeared, Vance shut it down with a brief “No comment.” That moment stood out because it was almost more pointed than a direct insult, especially in a video built around snap judgments and quick reactions. The silence worked like its own kind of statement.

The clip then jumped to a playful title card reading “two minutes later” before circling back to Schiff’s name, adding a bit of internet-style theater to the whole thing. It was a small detail, but it fit the tone of the post well, mixing sarcasm with the kind of social media pacing that keeps viewers hooked for one more beat. Vance later gave President Donald Trump a much friendlier label, calling him “Generous,” which rounded out the video with a clear sign of where his loyalties sit.

The TikTok offered a rare casual window into how Vance talks when the cameras are rolling but the tone is meant to be loose. It also showed that he is more than willing to take public shots at prominent Democrats while handing out praise to the people in his own political orbit, all in a format built for speed, attitude and instant reactions.
