Jimmy Hart was taken aback by the sudden death of his longtime friend and wrestling legend, Hulk Hogan. Just a day before Hogan passed away, Hart had heard promising news about Hogan’s health. In an interview with People, Hart recounted how he had spoken to Hogan’s assistant on Wednesday, who assured him that Hogan was “doing great.”

Hart explained that he had reached out to Hogan on Wednesday night, unaware that the following morning would bring tragic news. He was left in disbelief, as everything seemed positive just the day prior. Reflecting on the sudden loss, Hart shared, “It just hits so fast. We thought he was doing so well.”

Earlier this year, Hogan underwent neck surgery, one of many surgeries in his life, tallying up to at least 25. Hart mentioned he avoided visiting Hogan to prevent any risk of infection during his recovery. “We didn’t go to see him at the house or the hospital,” he said, emphasizing their cautious approach.

The last time Hart saw Hogan was about a month before his passing, noting that Hogan was in good spirits while interacting with fans. During a WWE event in January, Hogan and Hart addressed the crowd together, marking one of their last public appearances.

Hogan’s wife, Sky Daily, expressed her shock and heartbreak in an emotional tribute following his death. She wasn’t ready to say goodbye, believing they would overcome his health challenges. Her statement echoed the sentiments of many, who thought Hogan’s strength would see him through.

On Wednesday, initial reports suggested Hogan experienced a medical emergency at his Florida home. The Clearwater Police Department confirmed that emergency personnel responded to the call, treating Hogan for cardiac arrest before he was taken to Morton Plant Hospital.

Despite rumors of a health crisis weeks prior, Hogan’s wife had dismissed them, maintaining that he was “strong” and recuperating. She, like Hart, was blindsided by his “sudden” passing, expressing her faith in his resilience.

Hogan’s passing leaves a significant void in the wrestling community. Fans and friends alike are grappling with the loss of a beloved icon, whose influence spanned decades.

As the news spreads, tributes from across the world pour in, remembering Hogan as a larger-than-life figure. His impact on wrestling and popular culture remains undeniable, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished for years to come.
