Marjorie Taylor Greene, for example, has been swatted numerous times, with one incident leading to a fatal crash involving a bomb squad member.
Recently, many conservative media personalities have been swatted, including comedian Shawn Farash, who faced a false report of murder and suicide at his residence. Phillip Buchanan, known online as “Catturd,” experienced his fourth swatting incident, quickly identified by local police due to past occurrences. Infowars host Chase Geiser shared footage of his second swatting ordeal in just 12 hours, where police ordered him to surrender. Owen Shroyer, Geiser’s colleague, was also swatted. FBI Director Patel emphasized that the bureau is actively investigating these dangerous acts and is determined to hold those responsible accountable.

Rep. Brandon Gill, a co-sponsor of the bill, described swatting as “an extremely dangerous form of political terrorism” and stressed the need for imprisonment for those responsible. The National Association of Police Organizations and the National Sheriffs’ Association have endorsed the bill.
