WHY did a “RETIRED General” and FORMER “Director of the CIA and the NSA” still have a security clearance? Shouldn’t clearances be immediately revoked when ANY government employee leaves his/her employment, regardless of their political beliefs?
One would think that the privilege of the security clearance would be removed once the necessity for performance in the “retired” position was in effect – an example of the corruption and clear misuse of clearances would be the active duty CIA traitor who leaked intelligence to Hamas of an upcoming Israeli offensive – and do the question remains, what is the necessity of a security clearance for once government employees outside of official/government employment?
I am retired military and when I left the service, any Security Clearance I had got removed except for the lowest level and that expired about 5 years later. That should apply to all, once it is not part of your job, then it gets removed and it is gone.
Correct and that is the way it should be done!
