Tom Homan, the former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and current ‘Border Czar’, has taken issue with Democratic Socialist Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Homan has asked the Department of Justice to consider if any action should be taken against Ocasio-Cortez for her involvement in a webinar. This event was aimed at educating illegal immigrants on how to handle encounters with ICE officers.
In the past, Ocasio-Cortez has urged community members to alert illegal immigrants about ICE operations. This has raised concerns among those who believe in strict immigration enforcement. Homan expressed his frustration with these actions, saying, “We’re talking about people who are in the country illegally, committed a crime, they’re a public safety threat and convicted of serious crimes, and then they’re ordered to be removed by a federal judge!”
During an interview with Fox News, Homan shared that he had indeed spoken to the Justice Department regarding the congresswoman’s actions. He argued that while she claims to be educating people about their constitutional rights, her instructions are problematic. “What she in fact is doing is telling people don’t open your door, hide in your home, don’t talk to ICE,” Homan explained.
Homan further highlighted the seriousness of the situation, stating that these are individuals who have been deemed a threat to public safety. He noted, “So it’s like AOC and others don’t want ICE to enforce laws that they enacted.” This sentiment is echoed by many who believe in the importance of upholding immigration laws.
The conversation continued with Homan questioning where the line is drawn between education and interference. He asked, “I’ve asked DOJ: Where is that line of impediment, of interference, you know, if someone stands in your way, prevents you from arresting someone, but your hands down, that’s impediment. But what line is telling people to hide from ICE, not open the door, where do you cross that line of impediment?”
Fox News host Bill Hemmer directly asked Homan about his communication with the DOJ concerning Ocasio-Cortez. Homan confirmed, “Absolutely,” indicating that he had indeed spoken to them about the issue. This confirmation adds a layer of seriousness to the ongoing debate.
In response to these accusations, Ocasio-Cortez has defended her actions, claiming that she is simply educating people about their rights. She stated, “If you’re pissed that I’m educating the people of this country of their Constitutional rights, that’s on you. And yes, immigrants have rights too. This is the LAND of the free.”
Homan’s comments have sparked discussions across various platforms, with many sharing the video of his remarks on social media. The exchanges highlight the deep divide between different viewpoints on immigration enforcement. Supporters of Homan’s position see his actions as a necessary step in maintaining law and order.
Critics of Ocasio-Cortez’s approach argue that it undermines the efforts of ICE and law enforcement. They believe that educating individuals on how to evade ICE operations poses a significant threat to public safety. This perspective is shared by those who prioritize national security and the enforcement of immigration laws.
On the other hand, Ocasio-Cortez and her supporters argue that everyone deserves to know their rights, regardless of their immigration status.
They claim that providing this information is not about breaking the law but ensuring that all individuals are treated fairly. This perspective resonates with those who advocate for compassionate immigration reform.
The debate between Homan and Ocasio-Cortez continues to attract attention, with both sides firmly standing by their beliefs. This ongoing discussion highlights the broader national conversation on immigration policies and enforcement. Many are watching closely to see how this situation unfolds and what implications it may have for future actions.
As the discussions continue, it is clear that immigration remains a contentious topic in the United States. The differing viewpoints on how to handle illegal immigration and enforce laws reflect the complexity of the issue. Both Homan and Ocasio-Cortez represent a larger debate that is unlikely to be resolved anytime soon.

Please take her down and kick her out of America!
Take away everything from this racist ignorant Soros puppet.
Even her bartenders license..
That is one arrogant treasonous punk of a congress woman that actually needed her wings clipped from the start of her position in the House!
She’s as crooked and enabled as many of the older female Congressional members seething with corruption like Pelosi or Maxine the Crazy Machine Waters; well on her way to duplicating those corrupted career politicians rise to power!
She needs to be educated in Rule of Law, so lock her up!
AOC besides being arrogant as all get out is one dumb ass if I ever saw one, thinking that she is educating anyone is equivalent to listening to grass grow!
“If you’re pissed that I’m educating the people of this country of their Constitutional rights, that’s on you. And yes, immigrants have rights too. This is the LAND of the free.”
No you moron, that isn’t what the Constitution is saying about Illegal Invading Law Breaking Foreigners! Some of them have even been deported previously for entering illegally and return again “Illegally” which is a Felony!
This according to the U.S. Constitution is the Land of the “FREE CITIZENS” who aren’t subject to any form of tyranny or controlled by edict like some underclass of peasants by their overlords; it’s a “Nation Of the People, By the People and For the People” who actually are part of the governmental system whereby they elect the politicians to thereby “serve as public servants” for “the Good of the People” not the other way around which was what the Forefathers had left behind, where they came from when they founded America!
What did she study in college besides Marxism and B.S.? She best just “shut her stupid big mouth!”
She (AOC) needs to be arrested immediately and charged with conspiracy, seditious conspiracy, and treason. She can spend her time awaiting trial at Guantanamo Bay with the other traitors and criminals she helped to enable. She needs to be made an example of for others, and reminder to choose your words and actions carefully, as there WILL be consequences. Her parents are also responsible and complicit, having failed to raise her properly with respect for others along with this great country. She hates America, freedom, and anyone who doesn’t agree with her ass backwards and dangerously radical ideas. Lock her up!
Absolutely!!!
Absolutely!!
Non citizens who entered this country illegally have no rights under OUR CONSTITUTION as these illegal’s have committed a crime and must be returned to their country of origin and AOC should accompany them, Why do people think that foreigners who are here illegally have rights under OUR CONSTITUTION, well they do not and allowing them the idea that they have constitutional rights is wrong and needs to be addressed.
