Shedeur Sanders is gearing up for the NFL Draft and there’s quite a buzz surrounding his potential landing spot. The former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback had an impressive last season, leading the Big 12 Conference with a whopping 4,134 passing yards and 37 touchdowns. His performance earned him the title of Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

In the final hours before the draft, Sanders took to social media, posting, “Legendary,” and adding, “I’m built for whatever today may bring.” There’s been a mix of opinions about Sanders. Some experts see him as a top player in the draft, while others think he might just be a “fringe starter” in the NFL.

Sanders brushed off the doubters weeks before the draft. “Well, everybody trying to make my stock drop right now, so who knows, man?” he commented in March. He believes the skepticism is just “fool’s gold” and urges people not to buy into the media hype.

In February, Sanders made a strong case for himself as a transformative quarterback. “We went from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two programs back-to-back,” he confidently stated. He challenged NFL franchises to consider his history of turning teams around, saying, “History repeats itself over and over and over, and I’ve done it over and over.”

Leadership is something Sanders takes pride in, which he believes sets him apart. “I would say being a leader, that’s my best trait overall, because everything is mental,” he explained. He emphasized the importance of connecting with teammates and adapting to different environments, having played at both an HBCU and in a Power Four conference.

Interacting with others is something Sanders enjoys, saying, “I love interacting with people so they can truly get to know me.” This personal touch is part of what makes him stand out as he prepares to step onto the NFL stage.

With the draft looming, all eyes are on where Sanders will land and how his career will unfold. His journey from Jackson State to Colorado already showcases his ability to adapt and thrive. As the clock ticks down, Sanders remains poised and ready for the next chapter.
