In an upcoming episode of the podcast “On Purpose with Jay Shetty,” set to be released Monday, former First Lady Michelle Obama discussed her time in the White House with husband and former President Barack Obama.
According to The Hill, Mrs. Obama shared with listeners that living in the White House was a test of resilience and strategy.
ITK obtained an exclusive preview of the interview where Mrs. Obama reflected on what it means to live in fame and how it impacts one’s family.
“The White House tests you in ways that you never anticipated,” she added.
“And the fact that we came out as a family, as individuals, the four of us, me and our two daughters — that was us,” Obama added. “That was our values, our compassion, our smarts, our strategy, that got us through.”
She revealed her thoughts on fame. “I tell young people this, especially young people who think they want fame: Do you know what that is?”
“When you become famous, you lose your anonymity. That’s a tough thing to lose,” she told Shetty. “I never wanted to feel so high that I was closed off and suspicious.”
“I don’t want people looking at me and Barack like #couplesgoals,” Michelle Obama said of her relationship with the former commander in chief.
“No, no. There are some broken things that happen even in the best of marriages,” Obama said.
Recently, Michelle Obama has become a topic of discussion in the news cycle due to speculation that she might be a viable option for the 2024 presidential election as a replacement for President Joe Biden.
Polling numbers show that Biden’s popularity is significantly low and unlikely to regain momentum against former President Donald Trump.
Glenn Beck, amongst others, believes that the Democratic National Committee will choose to nominate Obama in the upcoming race.
My 2024 election prediction: Democrats will utilize their superdelegate process to remove Biden from the general ballot. And who would they put in his place? Well, Michelle Obama, of course! pic.twitter.com/NgOGibR5lY

Even some Democrats believe that she would have a stronger chance of defeating Trump than Biden at this point. Ultimately, only time will tell.
