During the preliminary hearing at Las Vegas Justice Court, a video captured a man violently attacking Yousuf Azami, a 59-year-old actor from Afghanistan, who had been charged with kidnapping, lewdness, and sexual assault of a minor.

“For some reason, Azami walked out of the Las Vegas Justice Court courtroom before the hearing,” according to KLAS-TV.

Revised: In the security camera footage, a man is seen seated on a bench outside the courtroom. As Azami exits the courtroom, the man begins to trail him through the courthouse hallway.

After a brief exchange of words, the man delivers a powerful right hook that sends Azami crashing to the floor. While Azami lies helpless on the ground, his assailant continues to rain down punches upon him.

The video captures bystanders and law enforcement officers swiftly intervening to put an end to this physical assault.

The attacker has been identified as Glenn Cromwell Jr. Cromwell was apprehended and charged with battery.

He has since been released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on March 19. According to KLAS-TV, Cromwell has some sort of connection with the alleged teenage victim.

The Mirror asserts that he is actually her father acting as a vigilante.

Azami stands accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl who was reportedly 14 or 15 years old at the time of the alleged crime.

The purported victim informed law enforcement that she was out searching for something to smoke and eat on September 3, 2023 when she claims she encountered Azami in a parking lot near a marijuana dispensary.

Azami allegedly proceeded to drive her back to his apartment.

“Azami was on the couch for a while on his phone and then came to lay with her on the bed,” according to police. “[The teenager] had just started to fall asleep when Azami lay behind her. She stated she felt his pelvis ‘grinding’ against her and he was not wearing any clothes.”

The alleged victim stated that she had asked Azami to stop his sexual advances. According to the charging documents, the teenager then took a shower, put on some of Azami’s clothes, and quickly left the apartment.

While near the Mirage Hotel, the minor reportedly encountered a man who was there to pick up his wife. She informed him that she had been kidnapped and raped and needed help from the police.

Police officers were called to the Mirage Hotel in response to a report of child sex abuse. According to the police, Azami denied any sexual contact with the teenager and claimed he was unaware of her age.

Azami is expected back in court on February 20th. He had previously been released from jail after posting $5,000 bail.

This court incident occurred at the same Las Vegas courthouse where Judge Mary Kay Holthus was attacked by a felon earlier this month.

The disturbing attack was also caught on security camera footage.
