With the NFL Draft just around the corner, there’s a buzz about who might be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns if Deshaun Watson isn’t ready for the 2025 season opener. Joe Flacco, who could potentially step into the role, shared his thoughts on “Fox & Friends.” He wasn’t surprised by the chatter about Cleveland possibly picking a new quarterback in the draft, noting that “it’s just part of the game.”

Flacco remarked, “I’m expecting, I think everyone’s expecting them to take a quarterback,” highlighting the constant search teams have for fresh talent to enhance their rosters. As the draft looms, names like Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, and Jaxson Dart are being mentioned as top quarterback prospects. Flacco didn’t wager on who the Browns might choose but acknowledged the speculation.

The Tennessee Titans have the first pick and are likely eyeing Ward. Meanwhile, the Browns hold the second pick and might just snatch up Shedeur Sanders. However, Fox News Digital’s mock draft suggested that the Browns could go for Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter instead.

Reflecting on his own scouting, Flacco admitted he doesn’t watch much college football. “I don’t get much of a chance to look at these guys,” he confessed, attributing it to the demands of family life. Despite his limited viewing, he appreciates the hard work these young players put into reaching the NFL.

Flacco’s journey in the league started as the 18th overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2008 NFL Draft. He led the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory in 2012, cementing his legacy. After his time with the Ravens, Flacco played for several other teams, including the Denver Broncos and New York Jets, before returning to the Browns.

In his storied career, Flacco has thrown 257 touchdown passes and racked up 45,697 yards. His experience and leadership could be vital for the Browns as they navigate the uncertainty surrounding their quarterback lineup. As the draft approaches, fans are eager to see how the Browns will shape their future.

Flacco’s time in Cleveland marks his second stint with the Browns, a team looking to build on its recent performances. His insights and experience could be pivotal for guiding younger players through the season. As more details unfold, the quarterback situation remains a hot topic.

For those following the draft closely, the anticipation is palpable. With expert analysis and real-time updates, the event promises can’t-miss moments for football enthusiasts. The Browns, in particular, have a lot riding on this draft as they aim to solidify their roster.

Flacco’s candidness about the draft and his potential role underlines the dynamic nature of the NFL. As he continues to prepare for the upcoming season, his focus remains on contributing to the team, regardless of who joins the roster. The Browns’ decisions in the draft will undoubtedly be scrutinized by fans and analysts alike.

With the draft offering a blend of hope and strategy, every pick is crucial. The Browns are poised to make significant choices that could impact their performance for years to come. As the clock ticks down, the excitement builds for what lies ahead in the world of football.
